Marks Consulting Partners are currently recruiting for an Interim Service Director: Economy, Property & Regeneration to work with one of our Local Authority clients in Newcastle. This is a temporary position paying £800 per day. What you will be doing: Providing strategic leadership across economic development, regeneration, property and strategic asset management. Leading and maintaining momentum across a portfolio of major regeneration and investment programmes. Strengthening the organisation's approach to property and strategic asset management, including supporting the development of its Strategic Asset Management Plan. Driving economic growth, inward investment and business development, working closely with key regional and external partners. Providing senior leadership during a period of transition, working closely with Members, senior officers and key stakeholders. What you will need: Significant senior leadership experience within regeneration, economic development, property or strategic asset management. Strong experience operating within a Local Authority or comparable public sector environment. A track record of leading complex regeneration, property and/or major capital programmes. Strong commercial awareness with experience of budgets, investment, funding and programme delivery. Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to operate confidently with Members, senior leaders, developers, businesses and external partners. A relevant professional qualification and the ability to operate strategically at Head of Service/Director level.
