This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled professional with NHS Estates experience to play a key role in maintaining essential building services and ensuring a safe environment for patients, staff and visitors. Qualifications Degree or HND in Mechanical Engineering Specialism in a relevant discipline such as ventilation, water safety or heating Experience Proven experience overseeing and delivering installation and maintenance of mechanical systems Significant background in managing mechanical services contractors and in-house staff Experience acting as an Authorised Person in a mechanical-related discipline (e.g., Water, Heating, Medical Gas) Strong understanding of Health & Safety and risk management within mechanical engineering Experience working within NHS Estates maintenance environments Knowledge Estates (Hard FM) maintenance activities HTMs (Health Technical Memoranda) and HBNs (Health Building Notes) Water safety, ventilation systems and related compliance requirements Skills Strong IT literacy and confident verbal and written communication Effective problem-solving across a range of mechanical issues Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines Other Requirements 5 days site-based, 08:00-16:30 Monday to Friday Valid driving licence (manual and automatic) Participation in the on-call rota is required This is post would be suitable for a highly experienced, motivated and professional individual with a proven track record of working with management of multi trade staff and contractors at various levels with strong interpersonal and team working skills Wild Recruitment Ltd is acting as an Employment Business in relation to this vacancy.
