PLANT & TOOL FITTER Location: Ascot Salary: 36,200 per annum (o/t available) Job Type: Permanent Hours: Monday-Friday We are currently recruiting for an experienced Plant & Tool Fitter to join an established plant and tool hire business. This is a varied, hands-on position working within a busy workshop and plant hire environment, with responsibility for the servicing, maintenance, testing and repair of plant and small tools, as well as attending customer sites when required. The successful candidate will ideally have previous experience within plant hire, tool hire, plant engineering, mechanical fitting or a similar environment and will be confident diagnosing and resolving faults across a range of equipment. Key Responsibilities - Test, maintain, service and repair a range of plant and hand tools - Carry out repairs and maintenance at customer sites when required - Diagnose faults and carry out effective repairs - Clean, inspect and prepare returned hire equipment - Maintain workshop tools, test equipment and ancillary equipment - Carry out bodywork repairs and painting to maintain the appearance of the hire fleet - Update fleet numbers and equipment identification as required - Assist customers with loading and unloading equipment - Deliver or collect equipment when required - Assist drivers with loading and unloading vehicles - Liaise with office staff regarding equipment required for future bookings - Communicate effectively with customers, suppliers and colleagues - Assist other depots or teams when required - Keep the workshop and plant yard clean, safe and organised - Ensure equipment and external storage areas are secured at the end of each day - Work in accordance with company procedures, ISO requirements and health & safety standards - Attend relevant training courses to develop product and technical knowledge - Carry out other reasonable duties as required by management About You The ideal candidate will have: - Previous experience as a Plant Fitter, Plant Engineer, Tool Fitter, Mechanical Fitter or similar - Experience working with plant, construction equipment and/or small power tools - A good understanding of mechanical fault finding, servicing and repairs - A full UK driving licence - Good geographical knowledge of the local area - Good IT/computer skills - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - A practical and analytical approach to problem solving - The ability to learn about new products and equipment - A strong commitment to health & safety and following established procedures - A customer-focused approach - The ability to work effectively as part of a team, while also being comfortable working independently - A flexible approach to overtime and additional tasks when required - A fit and active approach to a hands-on role What's on Offer - 35,000 salary - Permanent position - Monday-Friday working - Varied workshop and field-based work - Opportunity to work with a wide range of plant and tools - Established and busy plant hire environment If you have a background in plant hire, tool hire, plant engineering, mechanical fitting or equipment maintenance and are looking for your next permanent opportunity, we'd be keen to hear from you. JOINER Location: Cebastone, Leicester Salary: 32,195.10 + overtime Working Pattern: Days: Mon-Fri 6am - 2pm Are you a skilled JOINER or Pattern Moulder looking for a stable, long-term role with great hours, strong overtime rates and a specialist workshop environment? We're recruiting a JOINER to produce high-quality wooden moulds and patterns used for materials such as concrete to be poured into. If you enjoy precision work, interpreting drawings and building to tight tolerances, this JOINER / Pattern Maker opportunity could be ideal. The role (what you'll be doing) As a JOINER / Pattern Maker , you will: Read and interpret sketches, drawings and CAD data to determine pattern/mould specifications Build wooden patterns and moulds, allowing for shrinkage/draft where required Measure, mark out and cut materials accurately using layout and measurement tools Assemble components using fasteners, glue and dowels to create completed moulds Use workshop machinery alongside traditional joinery/woodworking tools Complete quality checks to ensure finished moulds meet specification Maintain tools/equipment and work safely to site standards Liaise with designers, customers and contractors to confirm requirements Pay, hours & benefits Salary: 32,195.10 per year ( 15.38/hr ) Hours: 08:00-16:00 until signed off as competent, then 06:00-14:00 Days: Monday-Friday Overtime: paid at a flat 1.5x (all hours/days, including Sundays) Typically 6 hours on Sundays most weeks + occasional weekday OT Holiday: 25 days + bank holidays PPE: supplied on site Shutdown: 2-week Christmas shutdown What we're looking for Proven experience as a JOINER / workshop joiner / wood machinist / pattern maker Strong drawing interpretation skills (sketches/CAD outputs) High attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship Confidence using woodworking machinery and hand tools safely Location: Cebastone, Leicester To apply: Submit your CV and a member of the team at Gi Pro will call back to discuss your experience and the next steps.
