Job Specification: Site Manager - Construction Project Role Overview: Responsible for the safe, efficient, and high-quality delivery of a steel-frame building project, managing day-to-day site activities and ensuring programme, budget, and standards are met. Key Responsibilities: Manage and coordinate all on-site operations, labour, and subcontractors involved in steel erection, cladding, groundworks, M&E, and finishing trades. Ensure all works adhere to construction drawings, structural steel specifications, method statements, and risk assessments. Plan site activities, monitor progress against the programme, and report daily/weekly to the Project Manager. Lead site health & safety: conduct inductions, toolbox talks, inspections, and enforce compliance with CDM regulations. Coordinate material deliveries, crane operations, lifting plans, and site logistics to maintain efficient workflow. Maintain accurate site records: diaries, photos, permits, RAMS approvals, and inspection test plans. Identify and resolve construction issues promptly, escalating technical problems where needed. Liaise with structural engineers, architects, client representatives, and building control. Ensure site security, housekeeping, waste management, and environmental compliance. Skills & Experience Required: Proven experience managing steel-frame construction projects. Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. SMSTS, CSCS (Managers), First Aid, and relevant H&S qualification.
