The Opportunity Yolk Recruitment have partnered with ateb to recruit an experienced housing professional to take a lead role within their Housing Solutions team, supporting customers and leading a team of Housing Coordinators to deliver effective housing and tenancy services. About the role As Housing Solutions Team Leader, you'll lead and support a team of Housing Coordinators, ensuring customers receive a high-quality, responsive service and that the team delivers the right outcomes. A key part of the role will be taking the lead on ASB cases, including managing complex and higher-risk cases, providing advice and guidance to the team and taking appropriate action to resolve issues. You'll also be expected to attend court proceedings where required. You'll also: Lead, motivate and support a team of Housing Coordinators. Set clear objectives, monitor performance and provide effective feedback and support. Oversee housing and tenancy management activity, ensuring cases are managed effectively. Take responsibility for high and medium-level ASB cases and provide expert support to colleagues. Support the team in dealing with customer concerns, complaints, safeguarding and other complex issues. Help customers access appropriate advice and support to sustain their tenancies. Use data, insight and customer feedback to identify opportunities for service improvement. Contribute to projects and process improvements that enhance customer outcomes. Ensure the team operates within relevant legislation, policies and regulatory requirements. Build positive relationships with customers, colleagues and external partners. About you We're looking for an experienced housing professional who can bring both strong housing knowledge and confident people leadership. You'll ideally have: Experience working within social housing or a closely related housing environment. Strong experience of managing ASB cases, ideally including complex cases and court proceedings. Experience of leading, supervising or managing a team. A good understanding of tenancy and community management. Experience of managing risk, resolving problems and making sound professional decisions. Strong organisational and project management skills. The ability to coach, challenge and support colleagues to deliver great customer outcomes. Excellent communication skills and the confidence to work with customers, colleagues and external agencies. A flexible, practical approach and the ability to respond to changing business needs. A housing qualification such as CIH Level 5 or equivalent would be advantageous, although ateb is open to considering equivalent experience, qualifications and transferable skills. Why join ateb? Health & Safety / Compliance Manager Salary: 38,500 - 42,000 DOE Contract: Temporary to permanent Hours: 30 hours per week (Flexible & hybrid working) Location: Somerset Purpose of the Role The Health & Safety / Compliance Manager will be the Designated Competent Person for Health and Safety, providing strategic leadership, expert advice and assurance across all schools. The postholder will ensure statutory health and safety responsibilities, manages risk effectively and maintains consistent compliance arrangements. They will promote a positive, proactive safety culture and provide senior leaders and Trustees with assurance on health and safety performance. Key Responsibilities Act as the Designated Competent Person, providing expert advice to the CEO, senior leaders, schools and Trustees. Develop and implement the Trust-wide Health and Safety Strategy, policies and procedures. Maintain oversight of Trust-wide health and safety risks and provide appropriate challenge, advice and assurance. Ensure effective systems are in place for risk management, statutory compliance and health and safety monitoring. Monitor changes in legislation and ensure Trust arrangements remain compliant and effective. Lead a programme of health and safety audits, inspections and compliance reviews, ensuring actions are followed through. Review risk assessments and control measures, providing specialist advice on high-risk activities. Lead the investigation and reporting of significant accidents, incidents and near misses, identifying root causes and lessons learned. Support schools with emergency and critical incident management. Work with Estates and school teams to provide assurance on statutory premises compliance, including fire, asbestos, water hygiene, electrical and gas safety. Provide strategic oversight of educational visits and off-site activities, working with Educational Visit Coordinators to ensure appropriate risk management and compliance. Develop and deliver health and safety training and guidance to ensure staff understand their responsibilities. Prepare clear reports for senior leaders, Trustees and committees on compliance, risks, incidents and improvement actions. Essential NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent Level 6 Health and Safety qualification. CMIOSH or working towards Chartered Membership. Significant senior Health and Safety experience within a complex, multi-site organisation. Experience of acting as a Competent Person and advising senior leaders or governance bodies. Experience of developing health and safety strategies, policies and assurance frameworks. Strong knowledge of UK Health and Safety legislation and recognised best practice.
