Noble Recruiting are looking for an experienced Mechanical Estimator to join an established and renowned Building Services provider based in Essex. This wonderful and dynamic position is offering the opportunity to work from home. Salary: 60,000 - 70,000 per annum DOE Working hours: 8:30am to 5:00pm, Monday to Friday As our Client continues to expand within the Commercial and Retail sectors, they are looking for you to be responsible alongside their current electrical estimator working on predominately commercial, retail and light industrial sectors. Your role would be receiving a tender at stage 3 or higher and complying a complete and thorough tender to be reviewed by the commercial team. Responsibilities/Duties: Carrying out material take-offs / Obtaining sub-contractor and supplier quotations. Utilising estimating software to build quotations and reviewing tender information to highlight any necessary tender clarification as well as produce bill of materials in the company estimating system. Develop cost plan and budget estimate / Review tender information and compile tender queries / Produce tender clarifications. Obtaining plant and materials quotations, reviewing and analysing for best suitability. Attend site visits and pre / post tender interviews. Prepare and distribute tender requests to sub- contractors reviewing quotations and analysing for best suitability. Reviewing tender specifications and documentation to ensure tender is prepared inline with requirements. Accurately complete take offs for mechanical and public health systems. Experience/Skills we are looking for: Qualification obtained (one of the following required) : Amtech Estimating Course / Mechanical trade course such as city & guilds with time served experience / HND/HNC in mechanical or public health engineering. Technical knowledge of current mechanical regulations. Understanding RIBA design stages. Knowledge of current market costs for mechanical works. Proven track record in mechanical estimating. A solid understanding of the operations of mechanical and public health systems. Knowledge of the requirements of full working mechanical and public health systems in order to identify and gaps between tender drawings and functional operations. This is a Permanent, Full Time position from the start! Main Duties & Responsibilities: Deliver the day-to-day and competently guide the Quantity Surveying duties and administration of the contracts/agreements of Asset & Property, ensuring that all aspects of contract administration, including application format(s), certification, valuation processes, variation and final account processes are timely and ensuring compliance with the conditions laid out within the relevant contracts, best practice, legislation (Construction Act), Group Delegatory Framework and standing orders/financial regulations. A strong and proven track record of delivering day-to-day quantity surveying duties, including procurement, project management, contract administration, and management/control of large budgets (within the Construction sector). Experience of the day-to-day collaboration and communication with construction professionals (in relevant disciplines) in successfully delivering the required outcomes. Ability to interpret and analyse complex data and information (financial and stock condition), making clear decisions/ recommendations to ensure delivery of the asset management strategy and strategic corporate objectives.
