Construction Site Supervisor needed in Huddersfield The rate is £60ph This is a temporary role The reference number is: 000A CEA2 / 1 Soley to manage works on site, which are during the night Will be working 7pm - 6am on a scheme that crosses the ring road The scheme is civil engineering works - installing cycle lanes, widening footpaths, installing islands Liaising with contractors etc Will be on their own as its night work so understanding what actions need to be taken so that can re-open to traffic for the morning Be able to interact with the contractor, monitor process and site supervision activities and tasks Understand NEC4 contract At the end of the shift handover to the lead designer and to update them etc and communicate with them Also another scheme happening which is the next junction down on the ring road which some elements will need to be done in the night and to also monitor that work and scheme with a different contractor but the same principle to other scheme The schemes are only 300 meters apart from each other - can walk it or drive it They need to be able to work in their own way understand what is happening on either site and be there for the sites and flexible regarding being on sites 5 night - Monday - Friday Ideally still need to be on site fill time but play it by ear and activity is low risk or straight forward could do any notes or tasks from home before going down but there could be other critical tasks but they will know what they are and what this looks like and making sure can confirm the contract is being adhered to eg ppe being worn etc 40 weeks for the role for the 2 schemes - 3 weeks behind schedule, when the scheme is complete on site still elements of finishing up with the contactor End of September finishing Still needing someone ASAP and looking to start the construction 23rd Feb anting someone who has done this before due to the timeframes etc on the schemes Qualifications - good background in civil engineering - can be experience or qual NEC4 - understanding, applying this Be aware of CDM regs and what the roles and responsibilities are under this Usual Health and Safety If you are interested in the role please apply on our website with your CV, alternatively you can email your CV to Beth quoting the reference number.
