Duties and Responsibilities: Provide support to bid teams through the provision of an efficient and effective planning, scheduling and planning deliverables function for any work type and any value, and subsequently contribute to post tender negotiations and handover to the project team. Provide support to the project management team through the provision of an efficient and effective planning, scheduling and project performance reporting function. Develop detail within an existing programme and can coach others. Update and monitor progress within the working programme and can coach others. Resource and cost load programmes. Understanding of the introduction & evaluation of risk in programmes Use appropriate methods to check programme robustness. Provide routine and one-off programme outputs. Tender Specific Planning Skills Assimilate and interpret information from tender documentation. Contribute to bid winning strategy Develop programme structure and content independently working with bid team. Ensure communication & transfer of knowledge post award. Contribute to tender written submission. Skills and Qualifications: Proven skills in planning software, principally P6, and can coaching of others. Thorough experience and understanding of programming techniques. Give advice and support on short term programmes to construction teams. Understand how to make an analytical assessment of programmes. Ability to evaluate supply chain programmes. Understand and comply with business processes and systems. Ability to work to defined timescales. Establish and maintain Internal and External Project Controls reporting. MS601- Senior H&S Consultant Salary: £35,000- £55,000 per annum DOE Location: Birmingham Overview: First Military Recruitment are currently seeking a Senior H&S Consultant on behalf of one of our clients.Our client encourages applications from ex-military personnel however all candidates will be given due consideration. Duties and Responsibilities: Assist with the preparation of pre-construction information. Review construction phase plans. Provide advice to contractors on CDM. Undertake site inspections/CDM audits. Support colleagues at design team meetings. Set up projects and provide administrative support. Work under direction to deliver the duties of the Principal Designer. Once trained, undertake site inspections and monitoring visits to determine health & safety compliance. Attend project, design, and other meetings, escalating issues as required by the project plan. Support senior staff as required. Skills and qualifications: Preference for construction-related experience. Awareness of the CDM regulations and associated legislation. An additional health and safety qualification such as NEBOSH Construction or General is required (Construction is preferred). Duties and Responsibilities: Manage the process, resolution and communication of all design queries as part of the project. Review contract requirements and ensure compliance with requirements. Raise requests for further information internally and externally from the whole project team. Collaborate in the preparation of design programmes. Manage communication with the Client design representative throughout the contract period. Produce monthly reports on design progress and any other design-specific elements. Manage and update the design deliverable schedule. Review all design deliverables and ensure that they are completed to the expected standard. Challenge and resolve when not. Manage and chair design reviews with the project team. Manage and chair all design interface meetings with external parties. Review designs for compliance with contract requirements and tender intentions. Ensure compliance with design approval processes required by the contract. Skills and Qualifications: Wide-ranging understanding and working knowledge of construction methods and outputs and can coach others. Must have spent 12 months completing designs as part of a consultancy or temporary works design department. Will have both substantial construction and design experience. Ability to deputise for the Project Manager if required. Understands the Principal Designer Duties including ERIC.
