Job description We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Architectural Technician to join our MCI Developments business - part of the Keepmoat group, based from Wigan. It's a great time to join as we encounter a period of growth for this region. Reporting to the Architectural Manager, the Senior Architectural Technician plays a vital role coordinating all design information between external consultants and internal departments ensuring that all approvals are obtained in a timely manner and that high quality and correct information is issued to other departments. Duties stretch from site feasibility stage throughout the sites development and to completion and handover to the relevant authorities/discharge of obligations. Key Accountabilities • To work with the Land Department to ensure smooth transition of all architectural information takes place • To check all architectural drawings and details for accuracy, correctness and commercial suitability • To liaise with external consultants to ensure deadlines are met • To apply for and secure planning permission for all architectural design and relevant regulation approval • To attend site visits and meetings in order to solve any problems that arises during the construction process • To attend design meetings with planning departments to ascertain requirements from a council perspective for new developments • Ensure that new regulation requirements are anticipated and incorporated as required HS&S Responsibilities To take care of your own health and safety and that of others who may be affected by your work and adhere to the Keepmoat Health, Safety and Sustainability standards. Skills, Experience and Qualifications Essential: • Providing proactive support to operational business units • Worked within a Technical New build environment and can demonstrate a high level of experience • Previous experience of building relationships with clients/customers • IT skills including Microsoft packages (advanced knowledge) • First rate communication and influencing skills • Highly organized and able to work under pressure • Professional attitude and approach to work Education and Qualifications • Engineering related qualification, degree or equivalent. • Degree or higher education course which is accredited by Institution for Chartered Surveyors (RICS) • A high level of proficiency in relevant design and technical based software like AutoCAD Why work for us? Job Description We have an exciting opportunity for a Site Manager to join our South Midlands region at our development in Northstowe. Reporting to the Contracts Manager the successful candidate will safely and profitably plan, manage, and control the day-to-day site activities on site to our meet/exceed programme, in accordance with company policies and procedures, within the budgeted cost plan. The Site Manager will oversee all areas of the development; including Production, Quality, Cost and Control. They will also lead and motivate the site team (both direct employees and subcontractors) to achieve the required objectives and fulfil their potential, as well as recruiting the right people into the business where required. HS&S Responsibilities To take care of your own health and safety and that of others who may be affected by your work and adhere to the Keepmoat Health, Safety and Sustainability standards. Skills, Experience and Qualifications Those who have experience leading teams within sites will be at an advantage, with the ability to motivate and lead a team, as well as flexibility to work at a hands-on level to support the team being essential. Up to date relevant knowledge of building and health and safety legislation, along with Clerk of Works, Buildings or NHBC inspection roles are essential requirements for this position. A full UK driving license is also required
