Site Foreman / Working Foreman Commercial Construction - Site Leadership Southend-On-Sea, Essex Permanent Position Salary: £40,000-£45,000 + Company Vehicle We're partnered with an established Essex-based main contractor with a strong reputation for delivering commercial, refurbishment, education, healthcare and residential projects across the region. Due to continued growth, they're looking for an experienced Site Foreman / Working Foreman to take responsibility for the day-to-day running of projects across Essex. This is a hands-on site leadership role for someone who has come from the tools, progressed into a supervisory position and still enjoys being involved in the work. You'll be leading trades and subcontractors, keeping projects moving and ensuring work is delivered safely, on programme and to a high standard. You'll be the key person on site, coordinating the workforce and subcontractors while working closely with the wider management team to keep projects running smoothly. What You'll Be Doing Running the day-to-day activities on site Leading and coordinating trades, site operatives and subcontractors Allocating work and keeping the site team productive Ensuring work is completed safely, correctly and on programme Monitoring workmanship and maintaining high-quality standards Coordinating materials, deliveries and site requirements Overseeing toolbox talks, RAMS and general site procedures Identifying and resolving issues on site as they arise Liaising with Site Managers, Contracts Managers, clients and subcontractors Providing updates on progress, labour, materials and any potential delays Supporting programme delivery and keeping projects moving Getting hands-on and involved in the work when required What We're Looking For Proven experience as a Site Foreman, Working Foreman, General Foreman or Site Supervisor Strong trade background, having progressed from the tools into a supervisory role SMSTS - essential Good understanding of construction health & safety and site procedures Proven experience managing trades and subcontractors Strong organisational and communication skills Practical, reliable and hands-on approach Ability to lead a team and take ownership of site activity Full UK driving licence Trade backgrounds including carpentry, brickwork, groundworks, roofing, plastering, drylining or similar would be well suited. FACILITIES MAINTENANCE SCHEDULER / COORDINATOR £32,000 - £34,000 Basildon New Offices Experienced in commercial property maintenance and looking for your next step? A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join a growing facilities maintenance company based in Basildon, working with a team that manages planned and reactive maintenance for a portfolio of long-standing commercial clients and properties. Following further contract wins and continued growth, they have moved into new offices and are now looking to add an experienced Facilities Maintenance Scheduler / Coordinator to the team. This is a great opportunity for someone who understands the world of commercial buildings and facilities maintenance and enjoys managing client requirements, coordinating engineers and keeping a portfolio of properties running smoothly. THE ROLE Working closely with the Helpdesk Manager, you'll take responsibility for the day-to-day maintenance requirements across your client account or portfolio. You'll be involved in making sure jobs are managed correctly from start to finish, with a strong focus on delivering a great service to your commercial clients. Your responsibilities will include: • Managing planned and reactive maintenance across a portfolio of commercial properties • Coordinating engineers, contractors and appointments • Opening, booking and closing jobs through client portals and CAFM/job management systems • Managing outstanding and ongoing maintenance jobs • Updating clients and keeping them informed of progress • Arranging further works and following jobs through to completion • Liaising with engineers, contractors, suppliers and client contacts • Ensuring all job information and processes are kept accurate and up to date • Building strong working relationships with your clients and understanding their individual requirements • Supporting the Helpdesk Manager and wider team with the smooth running of the account ABOUT YOU We're looking for someone who has previous experience within commercial facilities, property maintenance or building services. You may currently be working as a Facilities Coordinator, Maintenance Coordinator, FM Scheduler, Helpdesk Coordinator, Property Coordinator or Account Coordinator and be ready to take the next step. You'll ideally have experience of: • Working with commercial properties and buildings • Managing maintenance requirements for commercial clients • Coordinating engineers or contractors across multiple sites • Managing a client account or portfolio of properties • Using client portals, CAFM or job management systems • Managing multiple jobs and priorities in a busy environment Commercial experience is important for this role, so candidates coming purely from a residential property or domestic maintenance background are unlikely to be suitable. We're looking for someone organised, confident dealing with clients and engineers, and who enjoys working as part of a busy, lively team.
