Key Responsibilities - Cost Estimation: Produce accurate estimates and tender prices from first principles. - Tendering: Prepare comprehensive tender submissions aligned with client requirements. - BOQ Preparation: Compile detailed bills of quantities for construction projects. - Risk Management: Identify and manage cost-related risks and variations throughout the project. - Contract Administration: Support contract negotiations, amendments, and risk identification. - Project Cost Control: o Monitor budgets and ensure financial targets are met o Prepare applications for payment o Issue notices for early warnings, variations, and compensation events o Draft contractual correspondence and assess entitlement to extensions of time o Produce performance reports, forecasts, and valuations from drawings/surveys - Subcontractor Management: Procure subcontractors and agree terms. - Advisory Role: Advise the operations team on contractual and commercial matters. - Team Oversight: Mentor Assistant and Trainee Quantity Surveyors.
