One of the UK’s leading home builders are looking for a Project Manager / Quantity Surveyor. Due to growth in the business, we now have a vacancy for a Project Manager / Quantity Surveyor to join our busy and well established Timber Systems business, which operates throughout the UK. The Project Manager will be based in our Witney office, and have responsibility for a portfolio of projects throughout England. Reporting to the Commercial Manager, in this hybrid role, the Project Manager / Quantity Surveyor is a key customer facing member of the team, who puts the customers’ needs central to their thinking. Key duties include delivering projects to the correct price and specification, on or ahead of programme and on or under budget. Acting as the main contact for the client throughout the project lifespan, you will provide pre-contract support, negotiate and agree formal contracts, and communicate any potential risk to the internal team. The Project Manager / Quantity Surveyor manages and defines all aspects of the project, including the scope of works, programme, costs, including a monthly cost report. To be considered for this role, candidates must be confident negotiators; demonstrate a commercial astuteness; have excellent leadership skills; and be effective planners. Knowledge of the construction sector is essential, and any experience of timber frame construction is highly advantageous.
