Senior Cost Consultant / M&E Quantity Surveyor / MEP QS The Requirement: Having experienced significant growth in work and clients in over the past year our client are seeking applications from suitably qualified Quantity Surveyors to join their MEP team. The role will be varied working on a variety of client portfolios across the procurement and delivery phases. You will be joining an existing team, led by an experienced professional with significant experience in the Irish market. Their portfolio of client covers a mixture of Developer / Investment organisations, Blue Chip Companies and Public Sector bodies.Project currently being worked on include Healthcare Projects, Residential Developments, Corporate and Public Sector Fit outs and Tech Sector / Mission Critical projects. Due to the broad spectrum of our clients portfolio of work it is expected that the successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on a range of procurement routes, strategies and forms of contract. The Candidate. Degree Qualified Quantity Surveyor. Minimum of 3 years Mechanical & Electrical Quantity Surveying experience looking for a step up in responsibility. Pre Contract experience is desirable, with particular emphasis on Cost Planning, Compiling Budget Estimates and Preparation of Contract Documentation. Title: Design Manager Main Contractor - London Project Portfolio includes: Mixed Use Retail / Residential Development - High Rise. Student Accomodation. Third Level Education Campus D&B Hotel Schemes Responsibilities: Manage the design process during the pre-construction and as required, the construction phase. Fully investigate Value engineering and value creation opportunities. Examination of enquiry / proposal documents. Production of a Contractor’s Proposal documents. Manage the design process and all external consultants to the design process. Drive innovative and cost effective solutions into the design. Progress design issues within a strict timescale & ensure designers meet information delivery dates. Review Sub contractor design proposals. Verify & control status of consultants and subcontractors drawings and specifications & maintain registers. Ensure the consultant scope of services, responsibilities and fees are agreed. Qualifications Key Skills and Qualifications: Previous experience of detailed design coordination for a contractor or consultant is essential to the role. A strong background in a Construction environment Previous experience managing the design process on multi million pound Commercial and Residential projects.
