First Principle Estimator £80,000 - £100,000/annum Office based in Ealing North West London CIVILS CONTRACTOR The Company Our client is an established London company specialising in providing groundworks, drainage and RC structure work for major commercial constructions. They are a family run business and have been running for 42 years. Our client has grown the business into the multi-million-pound turnover construction company that it is today. As the business, has gone from strength to strength, the size of the contracts has grown. To date the successful contractor has completed well over 1000 contracts with the largest being £8,000,000 in value The Role Civil Engineering Contractor is looking to appoint a Lead Estimator. Role Description: An exciting opportunity has arisen for a self-motivated and experienced Senior Estimator, putting together bids on a variety of Civil Engineering Concrete Frames and groundworks My client is looking to expand their existing team ahead of significant contracts being up for tender in the coming months. The day to day duties of this role include: - Prepare detailed analytical tenders and estimates from first principles - Manage the bid process - Liaison with Senior parties – Bid team/Operational/Commercial to deliver accurate and high quality estimates/tenders - Settlement meetings - Management and mentoring of more junior members of staff - Pricing rates/lump sums. Required Experience: Experience as a Managing Estimator on Large Groundwork and Concrete Frame packages- Degree qualified/Chartered in a relevant discipline would be beneficial, however suitable experience will also be considered. - Experience in First Principle Estimating - Experience of Estimating software i.e. Candy - Advanced user of Microsoft packages i.e. Excel Must be experienced in the construction of groundworks, basements and concrete frames
