Successful candidates should be highly creative, being able to produce designs within these sectors; ideally candidates should have 4+ years experience within an Architectural or Interior Design practice working on large scale projects from design through to completion. Experience working within the hospitality sector will be advantageous. Job Title: Freelance Architectural Technologist Contract Type: Freelance Hourly Rate: £18 - £22 per hour Location: Leeds A successful design and management practice currently require an Architectural Technician or Technologist to join the busy team in Leeds City Centre. The current portfolio consists of multiple Commercial and Public projects including schemes within the Housing, Education, retail and Commercial sectors. We are looking to recruit a professional for a permanent position who has at least 2 years experience in a similar role. Applicants are expected to be AutoCAD proficient able to produce detailed and specification drawings to a high standard to tight deadlines, Revit experience is an advantage however not essential. This is a temporary position which has come about due to a rapidly increasing workload. Initially you will be on a 2-3 month contract, with the scope for this to increase. If successful you will be working in a team of Architects and Architectural Technicians who have established reputation for delivering a number of schemes in the local area. The successful candidate will have an understanding of construction/joinery activities and a general overview of mechanical and electrical installations to enable the production and management of comprehensive enquiries for materials and trades construct and analyse complete tender returns; then handover to our contracts team for them to manage and to take the project through to completion. Knowledge of the high expectation associated with quality interior fit-out works is essential, as is a full appreciation of the commercial influences that emulate from fast track projects of a distinctly bespoke nature. You will be working as part of an experienced team to develop your already existing skills. Excellent communication skills, both internally and externally, are key to this role as is the ability to develop and nurture relationships.
