They have a small team in place and are looking for a Project Quantity Surveyor to join the Managing and Assistant Surveyor. Document Controller - Main Contractor North West London £29k - £33k My client has recently kicked off a brand new development in winter 2016, which consists of the design and construction of houses and apartments ranging up to 15 storeys. Now they've started on site at the end of last year, they're now after a Document Controller to join their team, ideally with Asite Experience. It's essential that you have at least 1 years experience working on a construction site using Asite. Key Responsibilities * Manage and control the drawings, specifications and design information between the project team and external parties, ensuring that the latest revisions are administered and distributed promptly * Coordinate all activities related to the document control procedure, including technical documents, drawings, and commercial correspondence * Filing all hard copy documents in appropriate folders and keeping up to date drawing and document registers * Carry out routine document management administrative tasks including document release and publishing, technical query handling, transmittals, filing, copying and local library management * Collation of tender submission documentation, and contract documentation * Contacting suppliers, chasing orders, processing paperwork. * General filing and office duties. * Collation, management and distribution of reports, documents and contracts * Coordination of O&M Manual production on each project Requirements: * Previous construction/site experience would be advantageous * Have experience of document control procedures and ideally experience with software packages - Asite * Excellent Microsoft Office skills, specifically Word and Excel. * Accurate and good attention to detail. * Ability to work alone and high work ethic. Document Controller - Healthcare & Education Contractor North West London Perm up to £33k My client who specialises in Education & Healthcare projects are on the lookout for a Document Controller to join their team at head office. Your role will involve supporting four Contracts Managers and could be looking after 10 projects at one time. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants that step up and a new challenge. Main Purpose To implement and manage the document control software and provide in house training for current and future employees. Work with all departments in order to implement systems of control and ensure all staff are compliant with procedures and best practice. Key Responsibilities * Implement, develop and maintain the document control system and workflow processes. * Provide full document support to ensure that all current drawings, specs and all other associated contract related documents are filed, maintained and issued in an efficient manner. * Induct new staff members in the discipline and importance of adhering to the document control systems and procedures. * Monitor compliance and advise senior management of individuals failing to observe these systems and procedures. * Understanding of paper handling systems, document registration, filing, numbering and archiving systems. * Maintaining all hard copy filing in line. * Manage and control documents sent between us and all external parties including important legal signed documents. * Manage requests for information from consultants/contractors on behalf of Alchemi Development Managers and keep internal design team notified. * Provide support to the team with the dc queries and first point of contact for the edms. * Coordinate key meetings and events both internally and externally. * Create agendas/collate minutes for board meetings and distribute. * Compile and liaise with sales and marketing team on distribution of O&M manuals. * Carry out any other reasonable management requests. * Support admin team and assist with other administration tasks where necessary to cover holiday/absence.
