Kilkern are currently recruiting for a Site Engineer to start work in the Leeds area. This position is working for a leading Civil Engineering and Utilities company. The purpose of this role is to provide site engineering duties for a number of projects within the region. The Site Engineer will establish the level and survey control for contracts and set out detailed works as per the contract drawings, ensuring that checks are made on a regular basis. Key Responsibilities: - Establish the level and survey control for contracts - Set out detailed works as per the contract drawings, ensuring checks are carried out on a regular basis - Ensure that records are accurate and comply with organisational and legal requirements Resolve any unexpected technical difficulties and other problems that may arise at any time Produce procurement schedules for the jobs and liaise with the procurement department to ensure site have adequate resources to complete the tasks - Produce ITP’s and Task Briefings - Produce 2 week look ahead in conjunction with the Site Agent - Produce Site Diaries and Allocation Sheets Amongst many other duties.  Person Specification: The successful candidate is likely to meet all of the following criteria: - Previous experience of setting out on civil engineering projects - Sound knowledge of construction methods, health and safety, and legal regulations - Fully conversant with the use of robotic total station or EDM instruments - Degree/HNC qualified, or equivalent, in civil engineering - Excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with both clients and staff Self-driven and results-oriented with a positive outlook Desirable; - Experience in using AutoCAD and MS Office Temporary-works co-ordination - CSCS card - Cable avoidance training - First aid training Confined space training NEBOSH or IOSH We are offering a generous salary for the successful candidate with a very good benefits package as well. Kilkern are recruiting for a Site Agent to start work in the Walsall, Birmingham area. The Site Agent will be responsible for the management of the construction site in order to achieve required project delivery to the customers’ objectives, while maintaining standards of health and safety, quality, environmental impact and cost control. Key Responsibilities: - Ensure the commercial performance of the contract is maximised Assume overall responsibility for the successful delivery of projects Deliver the work safely and without environmental incidents Deliver the work to the specified quality without defects - Ensure production and implementation of Project Plans, RAMS, ITP’s and waste management plans, in line with Company procedures - Produce and manage the project programme and produce 2 weeks look ahead - Produce procurement schedules and liaise with the procurement department to ensure sites have adequate resources to complete the tasks - Produce good quality, accurate monthly reports for the Client and internally Chair weekly site meetings in line with Company procedures Amongst other duties and responsibilities.
