About this Role: We are looking to recruit a Public Liaison officer for an immediate start to work for a principle contractor working on a highways scheme in Essex. Ideally you will have previous experience of working as a public liaison officer for a construction company, either civil engineering, residential building or construction consultancy. You will work site based alongside an experience team including project manager and senior site manager. You will be required to proactively identify business in the area and residents living nearby in order to explain what works are being carried out, how long for and advise of any potential disturbances. Therefore, the position will suit someone with good communications skills and IT skills. Part of the role will involve designing and producing newsletters and leaflets in order to keep fluid communications to the local community across several different work sites. Although, this is a freelance/contract opportunity it does have potential for temporary to permanent position. About the Company/Client/Project: The company are a tier one national contractor working across the civil engineering, building, power, marine and water schemes. Requirements including certificates and qualifications: Ideally you will have a current CSCS card, construction experience and have your own vehicle. About this Role: Freelance Site Manager urgently required to deal with brickwork on a number of defective properties in a live environment. About the Company/Client/Project: This main contractor is looking for an experienced Site Manager ideally with a bricklaying background to manager a number of live jobs to complete snags and construction defects from internals and M+E to brickwork on various high rise offices, and apartments as well as public buildings. Requirements including certificates and Qualifications: Candidates should have up to date SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid and be professional enough to deal with tenants on buildings and arrange the reactive maintenance. Key skills will be a good eye for detail ability to write reports and document / photograph the defects and solve problems with sub-contractor co-ordination in a live environment as the key. With a good all round construction background you will be local to Sussex and be immediately available for ongoing freelance work. About this Role: My client is immediately looking for an experienced Site Manager to work on the finishing stages of this steel frame 8 storey student accommodation project to manage the fit out and internals packages on site. About the Company/Client/Project: The role is with the project team at reporting to a Senior Project Manager (not on site) to look after a section of works on this £ 25 mill major project running for the next 9 months. Dealing with the internal fit out contractors from dry lining to M+E and specialist ceilings/interior finishes. Managing the quality and dealing with the programmes and technical issues from test inspection plans and weekly meetings to the out on site management and health and safety of the contractors as required. Reporting to the Project Manager for the scheme over the coming months you will be the number one on site for all fit out packages tasked with the management of subcontractors works on this complicated build with fit out of a number of areas all live at the same time so sub contactor coordination and driving the programme is key as there will be 100s of members of staff on site at any point Applicants must have up to date CSCS SMSTS and 1st aid as well as experience on building projects in excess of £10 million with a good understanding of the fit out and finishing stages of the project rather than civil engineer and larger structural and heavy construction parts of the job. This is an immediate start for the right suitably qualified candidate and with ongoing work on this scheme potentially and a number of projects being awarded in the area. Requirements including certificates and Qualifications: Ideally degree qualified or experienced Engineer, HNC/ONC or trades background you will have previously worked for main contractors on sites in a team on schemes in excess of £5 million and with up to date CSCS, SMSTS and first aid.
