Due to expansion and continued growth, they are now looking to take on an experienced Project Manager. THE ROLE In the role of Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing projects within the Building Services sector from initiation to completion. This will include all planning, budgeting and documenting a range of projects within the commercial sector including (but not limited to) Schools, Factories and Leisure. Ideally, you will have experience of managing projects within the building services industry, across mechanical OR electrical specialisms in the commercial sector with a value ranging from £1mil- £3.5mil. Position: Graduate / Intermediate Quantity Surveyor Location: South East Salary: £20,000 - £25,000 (Negotiable – Dependant on experience) + Car Duration: Permanent The Company I am recruiting on behalf of one of the UK`s leading Asbestos contractors who have been running for over 40 years. They have a reputation for delivering high end asbestos projects throughout the UK. My client are currently looking for a Graduate/Intermediate Quantity Surveyor to work out of their offices in the South East. The Role The ideal Graduate/Intermediate Quantity Surveyor will be an enthusiastic individual who will provide commercial assistance to our Southern projects. The duties The Graduate/Intermediate Quantity Surveyor`s duties will involve assisting and supporting the Contract Managers in general QS and commercial duties to ensure that all work is correctly and timely applied for and paid, variations and change identified, correctly valued and presented along with assistance with other matters such as subcontract accounts, WIP and cost value reporting, debt management and final accounts. The successful candidate will possess a combination of qualities including: - 1-3 Years Experience as a Quantity Surveyor - Degree in Quantity Surveying - Understanding the implications of health and safety regulations. - Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel, Project and email/internet. - Strong written and verbal communication skills and excellent telephone manner. - Financial and commercial acumen. - Excellent organisational skills in being able to multi-task and re-prioritize at frequent intervals. - Ability to handle pressure and good time-management. - Ability to be flexible and adapt to change and work effectively as part of a team.
