As a Project Coordinator, you must have skills of adaptability / versatility with administrative and facilitation skills to keep the project focused on its objectives.
Must have good communication skills in acting as the liaison between the project management team, fitting manager, subcontractor, and suppliers. The Project Coordinator is an integral member of the project team responsible for coordinating varying material types, size and complexity for each live project. Purchase the products in accordance with the established budgets ensuring that the construction contract maintains profitability, and the most cost effective materials are purchased to lower outlays. Seek quotes on prices and availability of materials from a variety of suppliers, and manage and report on the accumulative cost of all new purchases. Ensure the projects team is fully briefed on the cost of materials and delivery dates.
Key Responsibilities / Competence

The Project Manager is assigned to a number of live projects to ensure that all relevant goals are met. Project Manager has the ultimate responsibility for all aspects within the client order. Typically, you will work closely with their Clients Fitting Managers, Subcontractors and Suppliers as well as client representatives such as Design Managers, Project Managers, Architects and Engineers on a project.
With assistance of the rest of the Project Team (team needs defining), you will you will help to ensure that the project is delivered on time, to budget and to the required quality standard (within agreed specifications). The Project Manager is also responsible for managing the work of sub contract manufacturers and suppliers, allocating and utilising resources in an efficient manner and maintaining a co-operative, motivated and successful team through to completion.
Project Management
Responsible for the daily performance of the projects whilst ensuring that future commitments, orders and production delivery dates are planned in against the Programme Dates.

Plan the Programme of Work accurately with liaison with the client
Liaise with Project Coordinator regarding materials using various internal procurement methods, ensuring best rate for all materials ensuring purchase orders raised are monitored for delivery/quality/quantity and cost, once all criteria are met Ordering/purchasing materials/plant are scheduled in against programme delivery dates and the suppliers are updated.
Design
Attend site meeting with the Architect to discuss and agree technical CAD drawing’s
Assist in the preparation & issue of Factory manufacturing drawings.
Prepare / develop schedules / for workshop production and delivery
Liaise with site Fitting Manager/ Contracts Manager / Supply only clients where required to clarify details / request additional information
Review revised drawings and amend documentation
Ensure joinery works are manufactured in line with the relevant Global assessment details relating to fire assessments on doorsets.

Role: CAD Technician (Joinery)

Responsibilities
Design intent to CAD drawings:
The main aspect of the role is to convert either Designers / Architects design intent drawings (or sketches) into worktable technical drawings for joinery manufacture.
You will be required to carry out technical design work (computer aided design) using AutoCAD software package.
All drawings will need to be fully detailed & laid out on ‘paperspace’ for Client review
Key Responsibilities / Competence
Templates / blocks / layouts
Any down time can be used to update: Templates / blocks library / layouts etc.
Production hand-over
The CAD technician will be required to hand-over any production ready works to the operations manager, discussing all design details & materials specifications.
Production drawings
If work is carried out in-house, signed-off CAD drawings will need to be converted into production drawings. These drawings may need converting into DXF files for CNC manufacture.
Online portholes (4P / Aconox / iGo / etc)
Project drawings are to be uploaded onto online Portholes as a matter of record.
All signed-off drawings are to be issued as: ‘Construction Issue’
Achieving sign-off
Once a CAD drawing is completed it is to be issued to Client for comment and / or approval.
Revisions
All drawing revisions are to have a new revision number & the list of changes are to be detailed on the right-hand side of ‘paperspace’ layout.
Working to deadlines
Each project has deadlines. It the responsibility of the CAD Technician to be fully aware of deadline dates & strive to achieve them. If deadlines cannot be met the Project manager must be informed, giving them plenty of notice
RFI’s / correspondence:
Any information required to facilitate CAD drawing is to be clearly listed & issued to the Project Manager or Project Co-ordinator in a timely manner. It is vitally important that the date information is required by is to be noted with each query.
Site surveys
Either the project manager or Project Co-ordinator is to assist with sourcing accurate & detailed site surveys. These are to be dated & stored in site survey folder for each area.
Folders & drawing numbers

Purpose, Context & Responsibilities
Purpose
Responsible for the execution of primary and complex protocols and procedures of the project document control system.
Running of elementary tasks from the day-to-day document control workload.
Responsibilities (Key Deliverables)
Execute document control protocols and procedures in functional work areas as assigned by the Lead Document Controller or Document Control Manager.
Process incoming and outgoing documents including receipt, classification, registry, distribution, archiving, storage and retrieval.
Develop knowledge and understand project management principles, quality systems, quality plan and working procedures.
Implement elements of project management and quality within the scope of the project document control department.
Attend to control and check points allowing for continuous monitoring of procedure implementation.
Participate in the development and implementation of project document control procedures under the supervision of the Lead Document Controller or Document Control Manager.
Front-line enforcement of approved document control procedures across the project organisation and interface with other project participants and team members. Identify specific instances of non-conformances and report details to supervisor for onward resolution.
Continuously identify opportunities of enhancements in the document control process.
Prepare document status reports as directed by supervisor.
Provide assistance in the training programme on project document control systems and skills transfer.
Develop and maintain open communications and positive working relationships with project participants and team members providing advice and support when required.
Rapidly adjust and contribute into a project environment where there is minimal input and organisational structures are not fully developed.
Strengthen the document control team by enhancing the skills of junior staff vai close on-the-job training.
Apply a proactive approach in a fast paced, constantly changing and expanding environment.
Develop and maintain effective working relationships across a diverse global business
Knowledge, Skills & Qualifications
Essential
Good command of English language, Written and Oral.
Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in the control of project documents or correspondence on large and complex projects.
Proven experience in document control procedures and protocols.
Experience in carrying out procedure implementation on projects.
Working knowledge of project interfaces with regards to disciplines and systems.
Previous experience in Engineering, Construction or Resource Industries.
Excellent communication skills.
Previous experience with direct interaction between Client Team Members and Project Team Members.
Able to perform under minimal supervision via written procedures and work instructions.
Strong organisational skills.
Analytical and problem solving skills
Strong attention to detail.
Flexible and willing to travel where required for training and other purposes.
Highly Desirable (but not essential)
Exposure to electronic data management systems or project collaboration tools
Working knowledge in the preparation of document control forms and templates

Our client are looking to strengthen their Commercial team with several Quantity Surveyors/Cost Managers. You will be working in an integrated team within the Anglian Water alliance framework working out of our client’s office in Peterborough. You will be accountable for the commercial and cost management of a project or programme of projects from inception through to close out. Responsibility to ensure that all operations are carried out to control, costs, maximizing value, minimizing future liabilities and maintaining the required standard and safety whilst ensuring that the maximum efficiencies are obtained and full compliance with the alliance and Anglian Water governance procedures are achieved.
Duties
You will report directly to the Projects Commercial Manager and duties/responsibilities of the role will include.
Provide an estimating service & / or assist the programme area estimating team to ensure robust estimates are provided that align to scope & make allowance for all risks & opportunities including any necessary analysis, transfer of data to CCMS & the Cost Base
Subcontracts are properly prepared & reflect agreed scope. Subcontracts are properly managed in accordance with contract requirements including compliance with all responses to communications, payments, compensation events, programme submissions etc.
Work closely with the procurement team & PDM to develop & monitor procurement strategy.
Responsible for developing procurement schedule and ensuring timely delivery of goods and services in line with solution cost estimate allowances & programme
Work closely with the site Team, attending site where appropriate, to ensure change is captured.
Ensure robust cost management is undertaken at all times including:- Accurate live forecasting taking into account the programme and reporting in accordance with the respective WBS/CBS- Actual costs are monitored & assessed against baseline, value of work done, solution cost progress, affordability challenges and final outturn calculations, reporting either weekly or otherwise as agreed with the PCM whilst observing Alliance governance - Ensure all efficiencies are reflected in mario charts / reporting in line with client timeline.
Provide reports on actual costs v estimate & identifying underlying reasons for any variance & resolutions, in particular highlight, challenge & resolve variance to latest plans
All GRN's are undertaken in a timely manner in accordance with both Anglian Water and partner system requirements as necessary
Ensure that all project team members (including site staff) understand the contractual arrangements, in order to satisfy Client & partner organisation requirements
Work with the delivery team to ensure project and programme risk mitigation plans are considered, put in place & administered
Ensure that the Alliance Contract is properly administered including timely issue of early warnings, Contractual notices, OCIP etc., in particular ensure that the PCM, IPL & relevant PDM's are kept informed of all relevant commercial issues including contract correspondence, preparing responses where appropriate
Working in collaboration with the Delivery Team to identify implement & monitor efficiency plans throughout the lifecycle of a project or programme of projects
Any withheld, disputed or disallowed costs are reported to the PCM
Any inadmissible costs are not included within the project/programme of projects costs
Ensuring that proper records are kept & maintained so financial information for audits & cost assurance is readily available
Final accounts are prepared timely and accurately
Any other duties as designated by the PCM or CM
Requirements
Civil or Mechanical Engineering background however this is not essential.
Experience in a similar role.
Knowledge of NEC3 Option C form of contract.
Studying towards membership of an appropriate recognised professional institution.
Educated to B tech – Higher lever (preferably degree level in Quantity Surveying).
Strong commercial background.
