At Axiom Personnel we are currently recruiting a maintenance operative for our well established client based in Southampton. Our client are the UK's leader in their Sector with 45 depots across the country. Working hours are 8am to 4.30pm Monday to Friday with an annual Salary of £20,000 to £22,000 dependant on experience. The main responsibilities for this role are; • General maintenance tasks to timber, plastic and steel portable units and toilets etc. • Cleaning of units and fittings internally and externally. • Painting exterior of units with spray equipment, roller or brush. • The fitting and removal of partitions & other fittings. • Some electrical work, some plumbing, some joinery and flooring work. • Loading of a range of furniture into the cabins and removing on completion of hire. • Occasional visits to third party sites to undertake repairs to portable units. Job experience & skills requirements; • Basic understanding and acceptance of Health & Safety rules. • Good mix of general maintenance skills. • Has an NVQ or equivalent qualification. • CSCS Card holder if possible. • Ability to work as part of a team. • Has a strong work ethic. • Flexible attitude to working • Full UK Driving Licence

Here at Axiom, we are currently seeking an Experienced Trade Counter Sales and Yard Operative for one of our clients based in the Lewisham area. The company is a Builders Merchants with sites Nationwide and a very good reputation in the industry. This is a permanent role and the hours will be 7am - 4.30pm Monday - Friday and 7.30am - 11.30pm on a Saturday (for the first 12 weeks it will be every Saturday but after this, it will be 1 in 3 Saturdays). The salary will be £17000 - £23000 dependent on experience. The successful candidate will have; - Experience in a Trade Counter role - Experience in sales over the phone - Strong communication skills over the phone and face to face - Sales and customer service experience - Product knowledge within the construction industry - Yard Operative experience - Counterbalance Forklift License ideal but not essential - Happy to get involved regularly in the yard and warehouse work which is hands on - Computer Literate Strong Command of the English Language - both written and verbal Responsibilities; - Serving customers and building strong relationships with them in order to generate sales - Providing customers with quotations and advice - Using your initiative to generate sales through customer contacts - Liaising with drivers and the warehouse regarding deliveries to ensure all is running smoothly - Getting involved with the physical work in the Yard and Warehouse on a regular basis - Using the system to locate products and create a quotations - Effectively working in a team and solely when the need arises
