My client is a well established building contractor based in Liverpool that is looking to add an experienced Contracts Manager to their team. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years experience as a Contracts Manager and have had experience working for a main contractor and as such have strong sub contractor management skills as well as be comfortable delivering projects with values of up to £10m. On a day to day basis the Contracts Manager will report into the Construction Director and will be responsible for the delivery of multiple construction projects. As such the Contracts Manager will be involved in projects from the pre-construction stage and this will be a client facing role. The successful applicant will have strong skills and knowledge in areas such as: +Health & Safety +Cost Control +Continuous improvement management +Program of works +Risk Assessments +Method Statements Whilst based in Liverpool, this client does operate nationwide, and as a Contracts Manager you will be expected to visit various sites around the country as and when required. The successful candidates should be commutable to Liverpool, prepared to travel and had hold a minimum of NVQ Level 5 in project management, although a degree in Building studies would be a distinct advantage. This Project Manager will be commutable to Liverpool. willing to travel and have a minimum of 3 years Manager level experience for a main contractor operating in the social housing and 2 into 1 conversion sectors. As a result of continued growth this company is looking to add an experienced Site Manager to their team in Manchester. The successful Site Manager will be based in (or commutable to) Manchester, have 8-10 years experience as a Site Manager in the housebuilding sector and be able to demonstrate a record of achieving awards for their work. As a Site Manager you will be expected to manage the development of the site through to completion, and ensure that targets in cost quality and programme are met. Reporting into the Contracts Manager, this Manchester based Site Manager will have an in depth knowledge of NHBC requirements and H&S regulations. Building Contractor requires a site based articulate enthusiastic Quantity Surveyor to join their team on a project in excess of 3 years. This specialist sub contractor are currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor. You will be comfortable managing your own Projects in terms of dealing with Employer, sub-contract procurement and understanding the principles of running this contractors Projects on a predominantly Labour and Plant basis (i.e. masonry construction would help) and able to produce simple internal cost reports (CVRs and Forecasts). Travelling to sites nationwide for site meetings/visits, but not expected to work away from home unless by mutual agreement. The Opportunity : Managing specialist sub contract Projects varying in value working closely with the Project Manager to deliver on time, cost, budget etc. The ideal individual will have 8 to 10 years experience minimum, with a steady work history, contractor background a necessity – ideally smaller contracting company although not essential.
