Our client is an effective environmental consultancy, currently recruiting a Geotechnical Environmental Consultant. The successful applicant will have the opportunity to join an existing team, working with the other Environmental Consultants within the team. Working principally on contaminated land assessments and geotechnical investigations with occasional assistance working on other environmental projects including waste / environmental permitting, air quality assessments, noise assessments and flood risk assessments. Preferred Experience - • Ideally you will have at least two years’ experience working for an environmental consultancy. • Experience working on site (supervising investigations) and in the office (reporting etc.) Special Working Conditions – • Working on operational industrial sites, construction sites, derelict Brownfield sites, remote environments and sites where other potential hazards may be present. • Working with third party site personnel, including drilling crews and excavator drivers. The successful applicant will have the opportunity to join an existing team, working principally on geotechnical investigations and geo-environmental assessments (i.e. contaminated land assessments). Preferred Experience - • Ideally you will have come from a Consultancy background and have experience in designing and supervising geotechnical investigation, interpretation of geotechnical data, shallow and possibly piled foundation design and reporting. • Experience working on contaminated land assessments would also be of interest, but not essential. Qualified Maintenance Electrician Our client a highly successful organisation within the construction industry, specialising in interior refurbishment, maintenance and fit-out of well known retail establishments. They are currently seeking a qualified 17th Edition Multi Skilled Reactive Maintenance Electrician with proven experience working on commercial environments, to cover maintenance work on retail outlets and commercial sites throughout the Cambridge and C&E region. With City and Guilds 2391 (Inspection and Testing), 2382 (17th Edition) you must be hard working, reliable and a have a valid, clean UK driving licence. This varied role will involve the installation, planned and reactive maintenance, fault-finding and repair of building services control panels (including HVAC), fire and burglar alarms, door entry systems and general power and lighting. Retail or facilities management experience and relevant qualifications would be a distinct advantage. In addition to your Electrical skills, this role will also involve general maintenance duties – with particular emphasis on Plumbing. Whilst plumbing qualifications are not required, proficiency in this skills sect would be deemed as a distinct advantage. Previous experience of Reactive Maintenance working on behalf of retail outlets, or other areas where the general public have access would be preferred. Any additional multi trade skills that you can put your hand to would also be of interest, you do not need to be qualified, but occasions can arise when these skills could be called upon, so therefore experienced Electricians with multi trade skills would have an advantage.
