CDM Manager needed in York Job Purpose: The CDM Manager will assist in securing cooperation, coordination and communication of health and safety with all duty holders. This will include providing support to the Network Rail Communications Manager to ensure all duty holders appointed to the project receive regular communication of safety information. This will include ensuring there is effective controlled distribution of safety information both to and from the projects and the collating and overviewing reports prepared by the respective sub-programmes (East of Leeds / West of Leeds / Leeds Capacity) to provide a monthly safety performance report for the programme. My client is looking for a Principal Structural Engineer with an expertise in Historical Buildings. A number of their clients require this expertise and as such we’re looking for someone who can bring this expertise and passion to clients and their buildings portfolio. As Principal Structural Engineer / Technical Director in the integrated design team, you will be able to undertake design and specification of the range of building structural engineering services in a lead role on all projects requiring expertise in this area. Job Purpose: • Leading technical delivery of a number of projects with specific focus on historic buildings • Take financial responsibility for projects • Take technical responsibility for team activities and sign off designs in accordance with QA and other procedures • Leading the design and specification for a variety of projects using a range of structural engineering software including Fastrak Building Designer, Orion, TEDDS and S-Frame • Contribute to design projects across offices and internationally where required • Application of industry standard design and calculation software • Preparation of reports, drawings and specifications • Manage other engineers and designers • Monitoring and reporting progress against time and financial objectives • Compliance with design and QA procedures • Monitoring of installation works on site and observance of technical compliance and H&S matters • Develop and maintaining excellent client relationships through business development activities and project execution • Assisting in the preparation of technical and commercial bid proposal Skills Required: • Proven ability to deliver structural projects on historical buildings • Demonstrable experience of delivering a range of projects from concept through completion and delivering client satisfaction • Experience in the design and specification of building structures in steel, concrete, masonry and timber to British Standards and Eurocodes • Ability to implement the use 3D structural analysis and CSC design software on projects. • Demonstrable experience of leading projects of varying scale and complexity and project teams within discipline If you have the skills above, please submit your CV

Structural Engineer needed in Milton Keynes. Job Purpose: As a structural/civil engineer your key duties will include: • To carry out all necessary functions to assist in the smooth running of the Structural and Civil Engineering teams. • To produce calculations and plans to detail structural elements of a residential development including foundations and retaining structures, culverts and tanking design. • Detail reinforced concrete designs. • Attend site to assess site specific conditions and adapt designs to suit, as required. • Work independently on projects, helping lead and develop junior members of the team. • To engineer site layouts detailing levels and drainage. • To prepare appropriate Engineering plans utilising computer-aided design software in particular AutoCAD.
