To assume day to day responsibility for the technical co-ordination of projects • To appoint and manage external design consultants to include architect, engineer, landscape, ecologist etc • To assist with the programming of production timetables and design timelines • Provide technical support to the technical team • Review and be aware of new build technology • Have an understanding of current regulations, i.e. NHBC, Building Regulations • Liaise with other company departments providing technical support • Monitor programme delivery • Issue and monitor drawing releases • Assist with the submission of applications for Building Regulations, NHBC Warranty, monitor discharge of planning conditions • Prepare technical specifications • Liaise with highway and drainage authorities over S38/S104 Agreements • Provide applications for MPANs, MPRNs, postal addresses • Attend meetings with RSL/HA • Review and co-ordinate legal plans and sales information for conveyancers • Produce material schedules • Monitor production of design information • Provide CAD/Engineering design support • Review document hosting system and agree efficiency changes • Monitor consultant fee expenditure to budget • Familiarisation with Code for Sustainable Homes and Secured by Design

Currently recruiting for a Site Manager for a location based in North Hampshire. The ideal candidate will come from a strong residential background having worked on quality residential projects in the past. With the leading residential developer looking to add to their site team, who have established a strong reputation for innovative design and high specification. Day to day duties include, but are not limited to: • Day to day supervision and co-ordination on site of staff, subcontractors, plant and materials • Work to Construction Programmes and have the ability to produce short term programmes to ensure sequencing of works • Produce material take offs and requisitions to enable the buying team to purchase the products required at a competitive price. • Communicate with site team. • Schedule works to ensure that all works carried out and undertaken to a high standard and works are signed off using quality control sheets at all stages of the project. • Check that all materials used, including those of subcontractors are compliant with technical and quality specifications • Comply with health & safety and ensure all relevant documentation is signed off daily/weekly/monthly as required. • Communicate and build relationships with the client, architect, engineer and local residents. • Keep all paperwork and site files up to date and monitor subcontractor’s performances You'll need to have SMSTS, CSCS & First Aid Certificate. You will have the ability to work well under pressure and within strict deadlines. Proficient in use of ICT relevant to the role: Word, Excel. With a keen eye for detail and great communication skills on all levels needed, providing a hand’s on approach to all duties enabling the build to be driven forward successfully. Site Manager Role Overview: We are recruiting for Site Managers to join our successful clients housebuilding firm, at our sites across the Midlands region. Initially, you will be based around the Bedfordshire, Northamptonshire or Milton Keynes areas. You will have the remit to organise resources and to direct the management of designated development projects to achieve progressive project completion to quality and specification and on budget. Candidates should be well experienced in managing residential / housebuilding development sites, and be comfortable with running a full site. Key Responsibilities: To direct the necessary labour, plant, staff and equipment to achieve both plot and project completion on time, to specification and within budget. Monitor that the Buying team and Surveying department order the correct materials and sub-contract services in good time to meet contract objectives. Manage site teams by monitoring performance against contract targets and instigating any necessary corrective actions. Ensure compliance with Group Safety Policy and Health and Safety Regulations. Ensure that staff and operatives are managed and led effectively by developing the skills and attitudes of managers leading to provision of a working environment that engenders high morale. Train and develop subordinates to meet current and assessed future requirements. 100% compliance with current NHBC standards. Achieve 90% overall satisfaction levels on the completed Customer satisfaction survey questionnaire. Establish that staff training and development has occurred as plan at annual appraisal and appraisal review stages. Achieve maximum marks on the twice monthly Health and Safety audit. Experience and Qualifications: Applicants must have significant experience of working on traditional build care home projects as well as in the management of H & S, and the design and procurement processes. Applicants must have experience of managing all aspects of the build process; the applicant will be required to coordinate the packages from the design and procurement phase through to installation on site and handover.
