About Us: Our team advises on properties with opportunities for value exploitation through third-party letting, disposal, or acquisition. We lead the development and delivery of the Council's Strategic Asset Management Framework, ensuring optimal use of assets to achieve borough outcomes. Main Purpose of the Post: As a Senior Estate Surveyor, you'll provide strategic property advice spanning valuation, disposals, acquisitions, and leasehold matters. You'll take ownership of delivering part of our valuation and strategic assets work program and drive changes for a more value-adding, data-led service provision. Key Responsibilities: Lead strategic asset management initiatives and projects. Drive the strategic disposal of assets to support future priorities like housing and infrastructure. Maximize revenue and value generation through property lettings and acquisitions. Provide expert advice on property-related matters, including dilapidation claims and estate management. Champion carbon reduction initiatives across our estate. Develop strong relationships with external stakeholders and local public sector providers. Essential Qualifications/Requirements: Degree-level education and a professional qualification (e.g., RICS). Detailed knowledge of the property industry and estate management.
