Bid Writer/Assistant
A unique opportunity has arisen for an individual to join this principal contractor seeking to develop their pre-construction team during this period of planned growth to work with the Pre-Construction Team.
The primary objective will be to develop and complete Pre-Qualification Questionnaires and Invitation to Tender documents, with the focus on providing a compliant and accurate bid to imposed deadlines. You will work as part of a team, assisting the delivery of high quality bids in order to maximise the chance of securing new contracts.
The main responsibilities are assisting with:
* Preparing pre-qualification questionnaire submissions
* Providing tendering support, completing the quality content of tender submissions and developing an overall document for submission
* Producing case studies for completed projects
* Maintaining an answer library and suite of information
* Maintaining the CRM database
* Assisting with developing marketing material including information packs, brochures, invites, banners, newsletters

They will have the responsibility to lead/oversee both mechanical and electrical installation design together with specialist subcontracted services and related designs i.e., Civil, Process, Structural / Steel Work designs.
Strong experience delivering Engineering & Design elements of highly complex multi discipline construction projects.

▪ Have in depth knowledge of process engineering discipline and be proficient in the use of Piping and Instrument (P&ID) Diagrams
▪ Identify & implement procedural and policy changes to improve operational efficiency
▪ Provide effective, accurate & efficient technical advice to both internal & external customers
▪ Fulfil ‘Designer’ or ‘Principal Designer’ duty holder responsibilities as defined by the Construction (Design & Management) Regulations 2015
Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications & Experience
▪ Chartered engineer or working towards chartership
▪ Degree in technical engineering related subject
▪ Strong contractual awareness and financial reporting
▪ Strong experience of delivering highly complex M&E installation designs within highly regulated industry sectors
▪ Strong understanding of design process & associated M&E design documentation
▪ Project lifecycle experience
▪ Strong experience using AutoCAD, Plant3D and other Computer Aided Design tools

Their company has grown from a small family run company to an established highly respected SME. Client base ranges from blue chip companies such as a premier league football clubs, government institutions such as education facilities, ranging from Universities, Schools, NHS Hospitals, and local authorities across London, as well as working with numerous commercial and private businesses
Due to the rapid growth of business, they are now recruiting for a Electrical Supervisor to join the project team, to help maintain the current client base and continue their growth plan within target markets. They require an Electrical supervisor for Project and remedial works on sites mostly around London and the southeast. The role of an Electrical Supervisor is to supervise and work on jobs from £2,500 - £500,000, making sure the work follows health and safety guidelines and help to manage direct labour and sub-contractors on projects as and where required.
The ideal Electrical Supervisor will have the following skills:
* Must have 5-10years of experience running a team and working on installation projects with a strong knowledge of commercial installation works
* Be able to read and follow design drawings and scope of works
* Able to work on their own as well as help with overseeing of project works and external labour when required.
* Must have a good understanding of the electrical regulations and practices.
* NVQ level 3, 18th Edition qualified, 2391 with testing skills/experience
* Current ECS card, HV and LV Distribution network experience
* LV AP experience
* Experience working in critical/sensitive environments
Working hours are between 8am - 5pm, Monday to Friday with large opportunities for overtime and shift works at an enhanced rate.
