The Quantity Surveyor role As a seasoned Quantity Surveyor, you will play a pivotal role in the successful execution of construction / fit out projects by overseeing the financial aspects from inception to completion upstream with our clients and downstream with the Supply Chain. Your primary responsibility will be to manage the costs associated with construction projects, ensuring that they remain within budget while meeting quality and regulatory standards. Main responsibilities of the Quantity Surveyor include: Being responsible for tender preparation, submission and project completion in compliance with all HSQE procedures. Monthly CVR (Cost Value Reconciliation) process. Providing commercial expertise to contracts, to include the production and submission of valuations, claims, and budget monitoring. Supporting the authorisation and submission of project variations. Authorising the placement of contracts, subcontracts, material and plant orders Maximising cash flow through the control, measurement and valuation of work, and the invoicing of customers and payment of suppliers Ensuring projects proceed to Client s specification and satisfaction. Valuing work executed by sub-contractors and certify interim and final payments. Our ideal Quantity Surveyor will have the below skills and experience: Experience as a Quantity Surveyor, with a background in various sectors, fit-out/retail preferred. Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying desirable, or significant experience in Quantity Surveying. Professional accreditation (e.g., MRICS) not essential. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail. Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
