The Role
We are seeking an experienced Pre-Construction Manager to lead all pre-contract activities and ensure the successful transition of projects from client instruction through to contract execution. This is a pivotal role within TG Escapes, focused on securing viable, profitable projects while coordinating internal teams, consultants, and clients.
This role is office-based at our Coventry Head Office, therefore candidates must be within a commutable distance, although flexible/hybrid working may be available for the right individual.
Key Responsibilities
Pre-Construction Leadership

Liaise with the commercial team on cost plans, estimates, and tender submissions.
Review subcontractor, consultant, and supplier quotations.
Challenge assumptions, value-engineer solutions, and mitigate commercial risk.
Support preparation of tender bids, proposals, and client presentations.
Programme Development
Establish preliminary design and manufacturing programmes aligned with TG Escapes’ build solutions.
Identify critical path items, procurement lead times, and efficiencies.

Role Overview The Senior Project Manager is responsible for leading the successful delivery of wastewater infrastructure projects from pre construction through to commissioning and final handover. This includes full oversight of safety, programme, commercial performance, technical coordination, stakeholder management, and team leadership. This role requires significant experience within the water/wastewater sector and strong capability in managing multi disciplinary construction projects where design is completed externally by consultants or client appointed designers. As a key member of the senior management team, you will be required to regularly liaise, work alongside, and manage the expectations and deadlines of stakeholders within the client businesses – which will include Construction Directors, Managing Directors, Housebuilding Contracts Managers, Project Managers and Site Managers on site, along with working with the clients technical team, procurement team, and commercial teams.
The Candidate
The ideal candidate will be a Project Manager, Project Director or Contracts Manager with a background Modular Construction, prefabricated packages for major projects, or having worked directly for a major developer or contractor in these roles on similar size projects but with exposure to prefabricated or modular elements.
