A Marine Electrical background would be advantageous but other electrical backgrounds will be considered for the right candidate. The role does require the applicant to be qualified to City & Guilds level 3 Certificate in Electronic/Electrical Engineering (2322). Applicants with equivalent Qualification’s or Experience are also welcomed. Qualified to Inspection and testing certificate (2394/2395) is desirable but equivalent qualification will be considered. Also desirable is the experience working on alarm systems, fire detection and audio systems. The applicant will possess working knowledge of IEE regulations and BS7671. This post requires a standard DBS check as a requirement of working on the naval base, this can be obtained once in post.
