What you'll be doing day to day In this Quantity Surveyor position, you will: Prepare and submit interim payment applications and project final accounts Use civil engineering standard forms of contract, including NEC3 and NEC4 Raise and manage early warnings and play a key role in risk reduction Notify, assess and submit quotations for compensation events Procure sub-contractors in line with the project programme Carry out contract administration of sub-contracts Assess sub-contractors' payment applications, issue payment notices and arrange payments Agree sub-contract final accounts Measure quantities both on site and from drawings where required Produce accurate internal valuations, sub-contract liabilities and cost value reconciliations in line with the commercial reporting timetable Work closely with the project team to monitor progress and effectively manage risks and opportunities Help ensure good quality and accurate site records are kept and maintained You may also be asked to support other reasonable duties from time to time that fall within the scope of the role.
