Senior Site Agent - Civil Engineering We are looking to procure an experienced Civil Engineering "Senior Site Agent" to join the regional team of a large main contractor based in Bridgwater. They work on a number of civil engineering frameworks which include: Highways - Bridges and Structures, Embankments, Small Civils Environment Agency - Flood alleviation, Bunding, water structures Rail - Bridges and Structures, Embankments, Small Civils Reporting into a visiting contracts manager the successful candidate will bring their larger projects from award to completion, on time and within budget with a high levels of client satisfaction. Following the successful delivery of current works programme the role will develop into a strategic role in the business for work on new opportunities, including design and build along with continued operational team development. Key duties and responsibilities: To lead a positive, continually improving culture, helping the company to achieve health, safety and environmental objectives Successful delivery of multiple projects on time, on budget and to the specified quality Programme Management and optimisation of works phasing/resources Risk identification and management, in conjunction with commercial team Design and engineering Liaison (D&B context), maximising VE opportunities, considering buildability and commercial implications of design Stakeholder relationship development and management - Internal and External Partnered, proactive relationships with client side Project Managers Commercial and contractual input working closely with the commercial team, and accountable for ensuring that projects and programmes meet commercial expectations Ensuring delivery teams operate in accordance with legislation, company policies and procedures including contractual procedures and processes, predominantly NEC ECC Management and Development of Operational Teams - Coaching and mentoring Strategic overview of co-ordinated works areas and the development of new opportunities Company representative at Progress meetings and client led Steering Groups/Project Boards Management reporting The successful candidate will benefit from a long term career in the region with room for promotion, exposure to exciting and challenging projects and the opportunity to work with a like-minded, friendly team with a passion for delivery and client satisfaction.
