Responsibility & Duties
* Understand the project brief and pre-design information provided by the senior designer, along with your specified role within the overall design process and take ownership of this role
* Attend internal meetings with estimator, production manager, contracts manager and project planning
* Responsibility for gathering pre-design requirements/information and requesting any outstanding information which may impact time frame design and building regulations, design software, material specification, technical resources (STA downloads, Trada and Robust details etc…), engineer calculations, fire engineers report in line with site safe protocol.

Due to continued expansion they are now looking an experienced timber frame designer designer to join our busy design team along with another senior. You will be working closely with the existing design and production team and reporting to the managers and operations director.
Responsibility & Duties
* Understand the project brief and pre-design information provided by the senior designer, along with your specified role within the overall design process and take ownership of this role
* Attend internal meetings with estimator, production manager, contracts manager and project planning
* Responsibility for gathering pre-design requirements/information and requesting any outstanding information which may impact time frame design and building regulations, design software, material specification, technical resources (STA downloads, Trada and Robust details etc…), engineer calculations, fire engineers report in line with site safe protocol.
* Produce and check drawings in line with programme dates
* As the work progresses, clarify any uncertainties or discrepancies with senior designer, estimator, and the customer
* Design panel drawings, taking into consideration all information gathered including any measurements from the fire report
Experience & Qualification
* Hold a relevant architectural qualification (Degree, HNC, HND)
