Multi-Skilled Maintenance Technician (Electrician) Location: East Anglia (covering mainly domestic properties throughout the region) Contract: Permanent Salary: £40,313.25 per annum + company van and fuel card We are partnering with a well-established housing association in East Anglia seeking a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Technician (Electrician) to join their Assets (Repairs) team. This is a hands-on technical role focused on diagnosing and completing high-quality electrical repairs and testing across a portfolio of mainly domestic properties. You will work independently to deliver first-time fixes wherever possible, ensure all work is correctly certified, and support the wider repairs service while maintaining excellent customer care standards. About the Role As Multi-Skilled Maintenance Technician (Electrician) you will undertake responsive electrical repairs and inspection & testing work on domestic properties across East Anglia. You will take ownership of jobs from diagnosis through to completion and certification, providing clear information when additional works are needed, and supporting basic multi-trade tasks as directed The role involves working closely with the Technical Repairs Co-ordinator, managing your own workload via the organisation's software systems (training provided), maintaining van stock levels, and complying fully with health and safety requirements. Once established and competent, you will typically participate in a 1-in-5 week standby on-call rota (from home), with additional payments available of up to 15% of annual salary depending on work undertaken. Core hours are 37 per week, Monday-Friday (between 08:00 and 18:00), with actual start/finish times flexible around tenant appointments and emergencies. Key Responsibilities Diagnose electrical faults and complete effective repairs on the first visit wherever possible. Provide clear information on any additional works required, including duration and materials. Carry out inspection and testing of domestic properties and complete all certification electronically. Undertake basic works of other trades relative to the job in hand or as directed by the line manager. Maintain accurate records using the organisation's job management software. Comply with all statutory and company health & safety regulations and policies. Work to agreed target timescales and maintain appropriate van stock levels. Deliver a high standard of customer care when working in tenants' homes. Requirements Essential Full UK driving licence. Ability to work on own initiative. Strong customer care skills. Competent IT user (training on specific systems will be provided). City & Guilds 2382 - 18th Edition of the Wiring Regulations (or equivalent). City & Guilds 2360 Parts 1 & 2, NVQ Level 3, or equivalent. City & Guilds 2391 - Inspection & Testing (or equivalent). Desirable Experience of CX and Service Connect systems. Asbestos awareness training. Working at heights certification. ECS Gold Card. Basic plumbing skills (e.g. immersion heater and shower replacement).
