Regional Health and Safety Manager Location: Scotland and North East England Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 5pm Salary: Up to £55,000 + bonus + benefits To give you an idea of what to expect, youll be: Engaging and influencing the business to ensure the health, safety, security and wellbeing of all of its stakeholders by providing support, guidance, training and expert advice on both legislation and company policies and procedures Delivering and supporting the business in providing training; analysing training needs and developing and presenting training courses as deemed necessary Providing ongoing support to meet changing business needs and to account for changes in legislation and company requirements Liaising with others as appropriate to work collaboratively with other departments within the business. Creating and continually reviewing our Unite Students Health and Safety Management System Working with a team of Health and Safety Managers to share ideas, identify areas for improvement and recommend solutions within own expert area and across the team. What we look for in you: Previous experience of working as a Health & Safety practitioner NEBOSH National Diploma Level 6 (or equivalent) Proactive with a positive and "can do" attitude to work, colleagues and clients; ability to build credibility internally and externally Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and in writing) including negotiating, relationship building and influencing skills Ability to demonstrate a practical, hands-on approach, willing to take ownership of problems and develop and execute solutions effectively Good organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise and work effectively and successfully within demanding time frames What Unite Students is all about Weve been the leaders in the purpose built student accommodation market since our foundation back in 1991 and have been at the top of our game ever since.
