The Role As Site Manager, you will be responsible for the successful delivery of a new commercial project, ensuring works are completed safely, to the highest quality standards, on schedule, within budget, and in full compliance with environmental requirements. Key Responsibilities Completing the day-to-day operations of the site, including the coordination and supervision of on-site personnel and sub-contractors Managing the resolution of any day-to-day issues arising on site during the duration of the project Co-ordinating with the Purchasing Manager on material and plant requisitioning Liasing with the Senior Quantity Surveyor on cost issues and compiling the Variation Log and monitoring variations Managing Sub-contractors, engineering and operational staff and personnel on site Supporting the Project Manager in delivering the project to a superior quality completed on time, within budget and implemented within the required safety, environmental and quality parameters. Scheduling weekly Work programmes and reviewing weekly progress reports for the Master Construction Programme Facilitating the flow of information between the Design Team and Construction Team Supporting Communication between the Design Team and Sub-Contractors Attending and chairing weekly Management Team Meetings Maintaining site records in accordance with ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 requirements Managing and implementing of the Safety Management System Implementing daily and weekly Programmes You will need Engineering degree/diploma or related discipline or Trade Qualifications (Carpentry) or a minimum 7-10 years Site Management experience Proven track record of successfully delivering large scale high density residential, commercial or refurbishment projects Hands-on experience with reinforced concrete and structural steel development Strong commercial awareness and ability to deal with the whole financial and programmed planning elements of the project Computer literate in Microsoft Office Package Excellent interpersonal skills, strong written and oral communication skills Demonstrate a high degree of responsiveness

Assistant Package Manager Location: West London (Major Infrastructure Project) Reporting To: Package Manager The Role Looking for an ambitious Assistant Package Manager (or Section Engineer) to assist in driving the delivery of major Structural Steel and Envelope packages (Roofing, Cladding, Glazing) on a Tier 1 mega-project. You will work directly alongside the Package Manager to drive subcontractor progress on site, manage activity readiness, support NEC3 contract administration, and coordinate day-to-day site interfaces. They're looking for someone to be on site 4 days a week, with 1 day a week working from home. Key Responsibilities Package Support: Assist the Package Manager in the daily management of structural steel, roofing, cladding, and glazing scopes. Subcontractor Tracking: Monitor daily subcontractor site activities, track plant and labour counts, and accurately log progress against key package deliverables. Activity Readiness & Documentation: Manage Activity Readiness certification processes and navigate project documentation through required approval workflows. Commercial & NEC3 Administration: Work with the package team and Quantity Surveyor to track scope changes, raise early warnings, and identify notifiable events. Interface Coordination: Coordinate between site teams, design teams, and subcontractors to highlight design clashes and keep site works moving smoothly. Safety & Quality: Promote strict health, safety, and environmental standards on site, conducting inspections and closing out quality issues. Requirements Essential Education: Degree (BSc, BEng, MSc) in Civil Engineering or equivalent NVQ/HND qualification. Site Experience: Background as an Assistant Package Manager, Site Engineer, or Section Engineer on civil engineering/infrastructure projects. Contract Awareness: Working understanding of NEC3 contracts and change-management processes. Documentation & Reporting: Strong digital literacy and experience writing clear progress reports and site records. Certifications: Valid CSCS card; full right to work in the UK. Desirable Prior exposure to structural steelwork, roofing, cladding, or glazing works. SMSTS certification. Working toward professional membership (ICE, APM, or equivalent).
