Job Title: Quantity Surveyor Job Type: Contract - 6 months FTC initally Location: North Worcestershire Rate of pay: Paye £33.43ph , Umbrella £45ph DOE (£64,000pa) Working Hours: Monday to Friday 9:00 - 17:30 (37 hrs a week) Are you an experienced Quantity Surveyor looking for work? ARC are currently looking for a Quantity Surveyor to work with Bromsgrove and Redditch Council on a contract basis initially. As the Quantity Surveyor you will play a key role in the development of appropriate contract documentation, procurement of goods, services and works contracts across Housing Property Services. With the delivery of these contracts the post holder is responsible for the financial measurement and valuation of works, preparing interim payments and final accounts together with all necessary project related financial reports. For this position, you must have the following: Minimum 2 years post-qualification experience in the Construction Industry, covering pre- and post-contract Quantity Surveying duties. Degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying. Proven experience in budget management (revenue, capital, and external funding sources). Valid UK Driving Licence This is contract work for 6 months initially but could be extended. Would you enjoy working with a large, national contractor who are in a substantial growth phase? You will be joining an established commercial team overseeing developments of £1m-£20m in value. This well capitalised business is changing the face of the housing sector using advanced DfMA led methodologies to build better and build faster. Your background in residential development will be essential in the selection and management of sub-contractors and CVR administration. This role sits in the middle of the existing commercial team which will enable you to transition into the role seamlessly. Experience on these types of projects would be a bonus but the main thing we are seeking is QS with a solid track record in the building envelope sector. The role will mainly be site based in Coventry city centre and the were will be occasional trips to head office based in Cheshire. With a huge pipeline filled with some of the largest bespoke building envelope projects it’s a great opportunity to gain valuable experience as the role is likely to exceed the 9-12 month FTC for the right candidate.
