This leading tier 1 main contractor has an immediate start opportunity for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to work on a project in Ealing, West London. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a long-term freelance contract.
Your contract as Senior Quantity Surveyor will start as soon as possible, and the support needed will be ongoing and for a minimum period of 6 months. This Senior Quantity Surveyor position will be based on site in Ealing, West London so you must live within a reasonable commute.
This is a 2-stage project and currently working with the client to agree the contract sum. The value will be between £70m-£80m and will consist of a complex cut and carve refurbishment, large extension and fitout.
As a Senior Quantity Surveyor for this project you must have a recognised UK construction qualification and must have worked on similar projects before. This is a Senior Quantity Surveyor role that will be responsible for a large proportion of the work.

A well-established Main contractor now seek an experienced QS to join their busy commercial team, Working across London Kent and Sussex they have a diverse portfolio of works including education, Residential, fitout, listed building and commercial new builds, Working in new purpose built office and holding a great record for staff retention they are now strengthening after multiple recent project wins - Several of which were in the lockdown period. Projects are typically in the £3 - 10 mill range with approximately 12 live sites currently. Whilst this Is an immediate need it is a long term appointment and crucial to the continued growth of the business.
Your new role
You will be part of a stable commercial team of 10, Reporting to the commercial director you will have direct responsibility for you 2 to 3 projects. You will be responsible for managing all financials relative to your schemes, seeking to minimise costs, enhance value for money and achieve the required standards for quality. You will also assist in procuring subcontractors and materials via the buying department and be a liaison between the various in house departments to assure the schemes are being built to spec and budget in-line with the contract.
What you'll need to succeed
You will have proven Quantity Surveyor experience, working for a small to medium main contractor ideally in the commercial new build & refurb markets. You will hold the relevant qualifications and be looking for a long term career move.

This position will be a 70/30 split between site and office and has become available as after a long run the current QS is moving on due to relocating.
The company is currently in the process of expanding their office due to growing success and this really is a good opportunity for someone to work for a friendly and reputable family run main fit out contractor.
The ideal Quantity Surveyor will:
• Be able to provide details of UK office fit out projects they have worked on.
• Be degree qualified in a relevant field or have suitable training with a contractor.
• Experience with Fast paced Commercial fit out projects.
• High attention to detail and meticulous in their work.
• Enjoy fast paced work.
• Advanced IT skills, ideally including AutoCAD.
Remuneration:

• Salary between £55,000 and £65,000 per annum.
