We are looking fora pipelayer to join HS2 in Brackley.
Drain / Pipelayers are responsible for assembling and connecting pipe systems for water mains, sewers, and drains.
This would include:
- Working as part of a gang
- Measuring and configuring pipe routes
- Gathering material and installation tools
- Digging trenches using hand and machine trenching tools
- Locating installed piping systems using magnetic or radio indicators
- Removing old or broken piping systems
- Laying pipes into trenches and applying pipe spacers
- Checking pipe alignment and sealing pipes with cement glue
- Installing auxiliary lines
- Sealing exposed pipe joints and fittings
- Filling and sealing pipe trenches
- Lay out pipe routes, following written instructions or blueprints, and coordinating layouts with pipelayer ganger
Required:
CSCS Green OR Blue card + pipelaying experience
Rates: £15.96 for the first 39 hours and £23.94 for the remaining 11 hours all PAYE
Hours: Monday - Friday - 7:30am - 5:30pm (1 hours break each day)
Successful canididate would need to pass drug and alcohol test and HS2 induction prior to starting the job.

- Utilizing heavy equipment to excavate, install and backfill drainage pipe, and continually inspecting work site surveying for potential hazards or safety concerns.
- Responsible for operatives safety, and enforcing company & country policy and laws
- Sequencing pipe installation to reduce interference with other project activities and traveling public
- Observing assigned equipment to detect machinery malfunctions, and expeditiously report machine malfunctions and defects to project engineer
Successful candidate must have: Green, Blue or Gold CSCS, SSSTS and drainage experience
Duration: Long Term - 3 Years
Rate: £17.66 per hour PAYE for the first 39 hours and £26.49 for the remaining 11 hours
Start Date: ASAP for the right candidate
Hours: 7.30 am - 5.30pm - Monday to Friday (1 hour break each day)
