About the Multi-Skilled Engineer Role An established facilities management and property services provider is seeking three experienced Multi-Skilled Engineers to support a diverse commercial property portfolio across Milton Keynes and Cambridge. The Multi-Skilled Engineer will take a proactive, engineering-led approach to improving asset performance, reliability and safety. Using asset information, maintenance history and digital building data, the successful candidate will identify faults, reduce operational risk and resolve issues before they develop into major failures. Key Responsibilities As a Multi-Skilled Engineer , your responsibilities will include: Delivering planned preventative maintenance, reactive repairs and minor works. Maintaining mechanical, electrical and building fabric systems. Diagnosing faults, identifying root causes and implementing permanent corrective actions. Completing statutory inspections, testing and maintenance in line with current legislation. Maintaining HVAC systems, AHUs, FCUs, pumps, ventilation, lighting, plumbing and LV systems. Using BMS, CAFM systems and mobile technology to record and manage maintenance activity. Working with technical teams, bureau engineers and specialist supply chain partners. Identifying opportunities to improve asset reliability and engineering performance. Multi-Skilled Engineer Experience The successful Multi-Skilled Engineer must have previous multi-skilled maintenance experience within commercial building services. Strong fault-finding, diagnostic and problem-solving skills are essential. Applicants should have experience working with mechanical, electrical and basic building fabric systems, including HVAC equipment, pumps, ventilation, lighting, plumbing and BMS controls. Qualifications The Multi-Skilled Engineer must hold an NVQ Level 3, or equivalent, in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or a recognised industry trade qualification. A full UK driving licence is essential. Desirable qualifications include: 18th Edition Wiring Regulations F-Gas certification IPAF or PASMA Water Hygiene certification BMS awareness Working Arrangements This is a mobile Multi-Skilled Engineer position covering sites across Milton Keynes and Cambridge. All engineers must complete the employer's internal engineering academy programme and maintain annual accreditation. Candidates should also demonstrate an interest in artificial intelligence, digital technologies and continuous professional development.
