Essential Requirements • Experience in Germany is essential for this role. • Quantity Surveyor or similar eg Cost Engineer/ Cost Planner/ Contract Manager • Basic German language. • Degree: Quantity Surveying or similar • Cost planning, cost control, Contract Manager or Cost Planner for construction work • Negotiation of building contracts and in the execution of construction work. • Cost planning and cost control techniques for different types of construction. • Contract Law for Work and Labour. Advantage to have: • Fluent German • German Regulations eg TGA, VOB, VDE / Bundes Gazette • Professional qualifications/ membership/ chartered an advantage. • Data Centres, Distribution, commercial, industrial, plants or similar. • Health and safety regulations relevant for construction work in Germany • Building and Public Procurement Law (DIN 276, HOAI, VOB, VOF). • CAD, technical drawings, MS-Office, ERP • Any of: HVAC/ M&E, Fire protection, Power Distribution, Security • VOB: German Construction Contract and procurement Procedures • VOB/A (DIN 1960) award of construction contracts • VOB/B (DIN 1961) execution of construction work • VOB/C Standards - technical specifications in construction contracts (ATV). Due to several recent project wins that have arisen we are looking for a Senior BIM Coordinator or BIM Manager to join a very different and highly respected mission critical specialist M&E Consultancy who offer complete remote working for all of their staff. Working remotely is the norm for them, not just through lockdown!! THE COMPANY * Well established M&E Design Consultancy headed up by some of the most respected figures in the data centre industry. * Impressive project portfolio working with leading blue-chip clients throughout the UK, Europe and SE Asia. * Project portfolio has included some of the largest hyperscale data centres ever built and projects at the forefront of green design. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES * The Senior BIM Coordinator or BIM Manager will be the first person into this company from a BIM background, therefore it is a great opportunity to enjoy a clean slate to set up their standards, libraries and templates from scratch. * The Senior BIM Coordinator or BIM Manager will be creating BIM models and undertake full MEP services coordination on hyperscale data centre projects. * The role will be involve also supporting the overseas offices as they do not currently have BIM capability.
