Primary Responsibilities • Carry out monthly maintenance visual inspections of Knights Park, either independently or with KP Campus Supervisor or CSM. • Manage and carry out PPMs to site, utilising facility management systems. • Plumbing issues, keeping the facilities operational, completing PPM's. • Addressing and fixing maintenance issues, such as lamp changing, unblocking sinks/toilets, installing shelves, low level electrical and plumbing works such as light bulb changing and fixing leaking taps, minor preparation, painting, staining, and redecoration using roller and brush applications. • Utilising mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and repair systems. • Understanding logic controllers and interpreting building drawings. • Assisting with technical issues which arise. • Management of equipment pertinent to the role, and stock management. • Carry out monthly 1-2-1 meetings with Campus Supervisor. • Provide monthly maintenance update report. • Delivering exceptional customer service to Kingston University Students and Staff. Randstad C&P are currently seeking an experienced Multi-Skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our clients Facilities Management team on a static commercial site in Stockton. This is a full-time, permanent position working Monday to Friday . The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality maintenance and reactive services across a wide range of building systems. Benefits: Competive salary up to 40,000 per annum Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week 33 days annual leave (including bank holidays) Generous pension scheme Company sick pay Ongoing training and development opportunities Key Responsibilities: Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on mechanical systems, including HVAC, heating, pumps, and water systems Conduct fault-finding and repairs on mechanical equipment and associated plant Undertake minor electrical tasks including basic lighting, emergency light testing, and small power repairs Perform general plumbing work such as pipework repairs, valve replacements, and fixture maintenance Support general building fabric maintenance including doors, locks, tiling, patch painting, and other minor works Complete all works to a high standard in compliance with health & safety regulations and company procedures Use CAFM/mobile systems to log and update job progress accurately Liaise with the site team and end users to ensure minimal disruption and clear communication Participate in site inductions, toolbox talks, and ongoing training sessions Key Requirements: NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent Additional skills/experience in electrical, plumbing, or building fabric maintenance Proven experience in a similar role within a Facilities Management or building services environment Strong understanding of health & safety practices Comfortable using digital job management systems (CAFM) Reliable, proactive, and customer-focused approach To apply, please submit your CV or contact us directly for more information.
