Key Responsibilities Senior Refrigeration Engineer Lead and coordinate the on-site refrigeration and HVAC team. Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs across refrigeration and air conditioning systems. Ensure all service and repair works are completed efficiently and reported accurately. Liaise with the facilities team and management to ensure seamless project coordination and future planning. Maintain high standards of compliance, health & safety, and documentation. Skills & Experience Required Essential: Extensive experience as a Refrigeration or HVAC Engineer in a commercial or industrial setting. Valid C&G 2079 (F-Gas) qualification. (HVAC bias) As a Mechanical FM Contracts Manager , you will be responsible for the operational and financial performance of mechanical maintenance contracts. You ll lead a team of engineers and subcontractors, ensuring compliance, customer satisfaction, and high service standards across HVAC, plumbing, heating, and associated systems. Key Responsibilities: Manage multiple mechanical FM contracts, ensuring delivery meets SLAs, KPIs, and budgets. Lead, motivate, and support a team of mechanical engineers and supervisors. Act as the primary client liaison building strong, professional relationships. Prepare and manage P&L, forecasts, and financial reporting for assigned contracts. Oversee planned and reactive maintenance, ensuring compliance with statutory regulations. Coordinate subcontractor activities and ensure quality assurance across all works. Drive continuous improvement and energy efficiency across sites. Prepare risk assessments, method statements, and technical reports where required. Ensure Health & Safety compliance is always maintained. Participate in contract mobilisations and renewals, including tender support if needed. Key Requirements: Proven experience managing mechanical FM contracts in a commercial or industrial setting. Strong technical background in HVAC, plumbing, and/or mechanical building services. Minimum HNC/HND or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services. IOSH/NEBOSH certification (preferred). Excellent client-facing and communication skills. Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting and reporting. Knowledge of CAFM systems and maintenance planning tools. Ability to lead and develop high-performing teams.
