Producing budgets, cost plans, and tender submissions aligned with project objectives. Managing pre-qualification questionnaires and pre-bid submissions. Engaging with the supply chain to obtain robust quotations and buildable solutions. Steering the design team toward cost-effective and practical options. Assessing contractual amendments and commercial risks. Preparing JCT contracts where required. Procuring quantities for groundworks, masonry, joinery, finishes, and other work packages. Leading the handover from estimating to the delivery team. Maintaining and developing strong relationships with clients, consultants, and subcontractors. Reporting regularly to senior management on tender progress and outcomes. Overseeing and maintaining Causeway Estimating software. Attending client, consultant, and design team meetings, as well as site visits where necessary. Essential Skills & Experience Previous experience as an Estimator within the construction industry. Quantity Surveying background or strong commercial knowledge. Experience using Causeway Estimating software. Sound understanding of contractual risk and procurement. Commercial awareness and a commitment to meeting deadlines.
