About the role:
Due to increased workload and company growth, we have an exciting opportunity for a Design Technician/ Apprentice Design Technician to join our rapidly growing team. Reporting directly to the Design Manager you will complete and assist in the production of compliant design information and TM drawings.
You will assist the Design Manager with numerous tasks including; the programming and delivery of engineering activities including 2D and 3D TTM design, producing designs for sign faces; and then liaising with the contract and manufacture to agree designs, generating operational documents and drawings for various schemes and all other duties as required by the Design team. You will work in accordance with the requirements set in the Health and Safety at Work Act, Construction Design and Management Regulations, TSRGD, Traffic Signs Manuals and also comply with company processes.
Good communication is also key to this role as you will also be required to liaise with operational staff and clients to establish requirements, resolve discrepancies and submit information.
This exciting role is a full time contract and will be Leeds/ Yorkshire based. Occasional travel may be required and a flexible working approach is welcomed.

A highly motivated individual with the ability to adapt to changing situations. You will be confident and able to manage your own workload under the direction of the Design Manager. Productive and efficient you are able to work to strict/ agreed deadlines, to ensure all drawings are completed for all schemes when required. If a Design qualification isn’t already possessed, you will be willing to complete a level 3 apprenticeship course in Construction – Environment and Design, which will be completed in around 2 years.
