Job Title : Gas Engineer Location: Manchester North West (Mobile Role) Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm (40 hours per week) Salary: Up to £45,000 per annum + benefits & overtime The Opportunity Build Recruitment is currently working with a reputable and long-established building services provider that delivers technical FM solutions across the UK. We are looking for a Gas Engineer with a strong background in both reactive and planned maintenance, ready to join a growing team in the North West region. This is a mobile role that will see you working across a variety of commercial sites, including retail, leisure, education, and office premises. Key Responsibilities Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and Reactive Maintenance on commercial HVAC systems. Diagnose and repair faults on heating systems, including pumps, AHUs, pressurisation units, etc. Respond to emergency breakdowns and complete all associated documentation. Maintain high standards of safety and compliance in all work undertaken. Participate in an on-call rota (typically 1 in 14). About You To be successful in this role, you will need: Essential: Strong understanding of commercial heating systems . Commercial gas qualifications (ACS). Experience in maintenance, fault-finding, and installation work. Excellent knowledge of gas regulations and health & safety best practices. Good plumbing and control systems knowledge. Basic electrical safety knowledge. Full UK driving licence. Desirable: Domestic gas qualifications Oil boiler experience 18th Edition BMS control experience Unvented hot water certification What's in it for you?
