The Role As Site Agent, you will take responsibility for the successful delivery of a number of highways and civils work packages, managing site operations from planning through to completion. The works will include highway upgrades, road widenings, junction improvements, drainage installations and Section 278 (S278) works, with the successful candidate working closely with the Project Manager, engineers, subcontractors and client representatives. Key Responsibilities: - Managing day-to-day site operations and ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme and to specification - Supervising highways and civils construction activities - Managing road widening and highway improvement works - Overseeing S278 works and junction upgrades - Managing drainage installations, including surface water drainage, gullies, carrier drains and associated connections - Coordinating subcontractors, labour and plant - Working closely with Site Engineers and ensuring accurate setting out and construction information - Ensuring works are delivered in accordance with RAMS, ITPs and project specifications - Monitoring progress against programme and reporting to the Project Manager - Maintaining high standards of health, safety and environmental compliance - Liaising with clients, consultants, subcontractors and other project stakeholders - Supporting the commercial and planning teams where required - Ensuring quality documentation, records and as-built information are maintained Experience Required: The ideal candidate will have previous experience working as a Site Agent / Site Manager / Sub Agent within a highways or civil engineering environment.
