Job Title: Multi-Trade Operative Location: Peterborough Salary: 35,000 - 45,000 Per annum Job type: FTE, Full Time, Permanent About Us: Westone Housing Ltd are a property conversion and repairs specialist business in Peterborough. Using our own employed trades and approved contractors we carryout property reinstatement and rebuilding services for the insurance industry plus conversions and improvements in both residential and commercial property markets. About the role: We are looking to recruit an experienced Multi skilled tradesperson. Applicants must be willing to travel to our project locations from our Peterborough based unit and/or your home. Our job sites are based within 70 miles of Peterborough. We provide work vehicles that can either be taken home so you go straight from home to site OR collected from our Peterborough office daily. Works expected to be completed include: Strip out of partial or complete rooms / buildings and preparations for reinstallation to bring it back to occupational standard Carpentry- installation of roof trusses, fitting door linings, architraves and skirtings and flooring Tiling - wall and floor including wet room tiling Kitchen fitting - including butt and scribe joints Bathroom Fitting including plumbing Painting / staining of internal and external surfaces Plastering / making good / floor latexing Basic electrics understanding Groundwork, basic landscaping, slab laying, drainage etc General building work as required to complete the above You will work closely with a designated team of project managers who will keep a shared diary up to date with all jobs required to be completed each day with all relevant information. This is a face paced, rewarding opportunity for someone to make a real difference to peoples homes / living conditions following a fire, flood, water leak, subsidence etc. About you: The successful applicants will need to be reliable, diplomatic and pro-active with good all-round knowledge and experience in the general building trades. As most project sites are occupied by the home owner / tenants, your ability to communicate clearly and be professional and respectful is a requirement.
