The Role:
To provide ongoing electrical installation delivery across the Culham site.
The job holder (JH) will lead on a wide range of electrical work in an industrial environment covering installation, commissioning, fault-finding, maintenance and repair in accordance with current legislation and codes of practice.
Essential and desirable skills:
* Take responsibility for installation phase of projects ensuring Safe Systems of Work are followed, working to a plan, being flexible and keeping to timescales, including leading installation teams.
* Install indoor and outdoor electrical distribution equipment in compliance with current regulations and local standards.
* Undertake the construction, wiring and commissioning of electrical control cubicles.
* Perform testing, commissioning and fault-finding tasks on various electrical control and distribution equipment.
* Setting work, supervising and providing guidance and supervision to less experienced electricians and electrical apprentices.
* Work on various projects with diverse teams across site with the ability to prioritise daily tasks and allocate work to team members according to the appropriate work plan for each project.
* Maintain high standards of safety at all times and comply with safety procedures.
Specific Qualifications/Experience:
* Electrical craft apprenticeship.
* City and Guilds 2357 (AM3), or equivalent, updated to BS 7671: 18th edition.
* City and Guilds 2395 (inspection and testing) or equivalent.
* Must demonstrate the ability to work safely in accordance with a written safe system of work (WSSOW).
* Previous work experience in an industrial/commercial environment.
* Should ideally demonstrate knowledge of large distribution networks.
* Supervisory experience is desirable.
* Work and communicate as part of a team.
* Ability to solve problems.
* Ability to prioritise and balance the workload.

Timely completion of all company forms and documents, record keeping and report preparation.
To comply with the requirements of the Company's Policies and Procedures
Assist other members of the team where multi-person tasks are required.

Electrical Contracts Manager
We have a great opportunity for an Electrical Contracts Manager to join a growing progressive company with a varied portfolio of projects, covering domestic, commercial, and renewable. This role is based out of Stoke on Trent, Staffordshire. We are looking for an Electrical Contracts Manager to oversee and manage a newly formed department within an established business. You will be responsible for ensuring projects are completed to the required standards, time, and cost. You will also be liaising with clients and site staff to ensure that requirements are clearly understood and agreements are fully delivered. You should have a demonstrable background working as an Electrical Contracts Manager and ideally hold previous social housing project experience. You should also hold relevant management qualifications and an electrical trade qualification.
Skills/Abilities required
· Ability to manage a wide range of projects, including small works, re-wires, renewable projects
· Dedicated to maintaining the highest quality standards
· Proven leadership skills including management
· Ability to work on your own initiative
· Be a good communicator with an organised and methodical approach to completion of projects
· Commercially aware with a good grasp of operating under different contract conditions
