Your new role Planned and Preventative Maintenance:Execute scheduled maintenance activities on domestic electrical systems to ensure optimal performance and longevity, in accordance with established maintenance protocols. Electrical Installation Works:Undertake installation of electrical systems and components in accordance with provided design specifications and current IET Wiring Regulations (BS 7671). Inspection and Testing:Perform inspection and testing of electrical installations to ensure compliance with current IEE wiring regulations, maintaining accurate records and certification. Inventory Management:Monitor stock levels of critical electrical spares and consumables, raising requisitions as necessary to maintain operational readiness and avoid service disruption. ROLE OVERVIEW Surefire Management Services (SMS) is seeking an experienced Electrician with Qualified Supervisor (QS) status to support the delivery of retrofit and decarbonisation works across social housing and public sector projects. The role includes installation, inspection, testing, certification, and compliance oversight in line with BS 7671, Building Regulations, PAS 2030/2035, and MCS standards where applicable. The Role We are seeking an experienced Electrician to carry out electrical installation, maintenance, and testing works across live and new build environments. Coordination with site supervisors, other trades, and management to ensure works are delivered on time and to quality standards. About You Ability to work in occupied, live, or sensitive environments where required. Willingness to work flexible hours, including out-of-hours or weekend working when necessary. Maintain accurate records, test results, and as-built information. Represent the company professionally on site at all times. Ability to carry out manual handling tasks, including lifting equipment and materials. Comfortable working at height, in confined spaces, and in varying site conditions. Physically capable of prolonged periods of standing, bending, climbing, and working overhead. Fully qualified Electrician with relevant NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent). Current 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671) qualification. Electrical testing & inspection qualification (e.g. 2391 or equivalent). Proven experience working on construction sites delivering electrical installations. Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and specifications. Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills. Good understanding of health & safety, risk assessments, and method statements. ECS & CSCS card. Experience working within high security environments & able to obtain security clearances through NSV.
